Just fyi, you can tattoo over scar tissue. There are obviously some factors to consider like thin skin might not hold the ink as well or textured skin might impact the design so it’s best to go to someone who has experience tattooing scars but it’s absolutely possible! I have a few tattoos that cover SH scars and you can barely tell the scars are even there. Also my tattoo artist just made sure the scars have been healed for over a year.
omg good to know tysm!! i’m definitely going to look into it more lol. i heard tattooing over bad scar tissue can be rly painful which is why ppl avoid it.. is that true?
@@hidayaandbri in my experience it truly felt no different than the rest of my tattoos but if you have one solid area of scar tissue I could see that maybe being the case. I know numbing cream is kind of taboo but maybe if you’re working with an artist who allows it you could try using it for just the scarred part? Idk how well that would work though because I’ve never used it. If you do end up eventually doing something you should definitely do an update because I’d be so curious about your experience!!
