This was awkward. Camilla came out looking cold in my opinion, barely even bowed and didn't wait for Mrs. Macron to pay her respect in peace. Just my opinion! I'm not attacking anyone. it's moments like these, human emotions on a somber occasion, that you should be able to "break the protocol". It was nothing inappropriate or rude like with certain other people who were in the RF for 10 fleeting minutes. It's ridiculous to be this stiff in my opinion, you have to put the protocol breach in context, that's why I love Diana, she was so approachable and warm!

Mdme Macron was a little hesitant and wanted to get the protocol exact. Our Queen, as you would expect, was faultless in her appearance and behaviour. She and Brigette obviously get along as friends I don’t know if the hand gesture was one of friendship or that she needed some assurance. Seeing her with veterans was lovely. She was lovely, warm-hearted and deferred to the senior members. Was a wonderful ceremony, smiles, tears and respect from all.
I like Madam Macron and I don't think she meant any disrespect with her gesture at all. I'd like to think that Madam Macron was overcome with emotion and sought Queen Camilla's reassurance. She and the Queen get along very well. No harm done, as she recovered her composure and Queen Camilla gently called for her to come with her. I commiserate with her since I know that getting emotional at such an event is very understandable.
