I'm pretty sure it was a jackalope not a miniature deer, they're common out this way.... especially during winter electrical storms

No it's east of Miners Needle
I’m a 51 year old man from the Scottish Borders. I have done a lot of metal detecting since age 16, exploring old smugglers caves from the 1700’s on the south east coast of Scotland where I live. Old 1700’s copper mines we have within travelling distance too. They’re very hard to find unless you know. Very, very dangerous too. First time I went in as a youngster with just a clipper lighter for light. There was a dark patch in the floor of the mine. I put the lighter down, I couldn’t see the floor of the mine. I thought it’s just a depression? I can probably walk into it and out the other side? Just a shallow depression in the floor. But something, instinct said no. I left, and came back with a proper torch. That ‘shallow depression ‘ was a sheer sided round hole 7 feet wide and 20 feet deep, with deep water in the bottom and an underwater tunnel leading away somewhere. If I had chanced it, I would have been a dead man. For sure, there would be no way out from it. It still scares me now, how close I came to a horrible death that day. Mines and caves are SO dangerous. 😳👍

Coues deer I believe are the miniatures they live in sky islands, which the superstition look a bit like. Never thought of them that way but they may well be

Water in the Superstition Mountains in August ? come on Jack.
During the early 1990s there were more summer monsoons that brought water and it stayed longer! True story believe it or not. During 1993 there was rain all spring and most of the summer before the drought began. But thanks for the comment@
@@jacksanfelice8840 I can confirm it rained way more in the 90’s than it does now, we used to get monsoon storms every day of the summer it seemed like
During the 90s it rained a lot more than now and there are water holes in some areas even now in August! believe it or not I used to have a map of all year round water holes how do you think the cattle survived and wildlife? Thanks for comment though!

What do you mean miniture deer? Like coos whitetail deer?
Coues whitetail deer are a subspecies of whitetail deer only found in Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico. A big buck may be around 100 lbs.
@@moneyandtimefreedom3352 yes i know as my dad has hunted them pretty much exclusively throughout my life. Prob taken at least 25-30 in my lifetime including more than 12 that he felt we're esp big for their species and had them taxidermied & mounted on the wall. They noticeably smaller than other white tail deer and a little bigger than half the size of mule deer. Thats why i was asking the person who released the video if that is what he is talking about or if he is claiming there is a smaller type of deer living in the superstition wilderness. I live less than 30miles from weavers needle of which he said he found the remains of said deer.
@@moneyandtimefreedom3352 its esp unclear because he said it was approx the size of dog. Ive had dogs 10lbs, 30lbs, 42lbs, 60lbs & i know many breeds get much bigger. So if he is talking about a very large breed then im sure that's what he meant. If its a 40lb deer with a full antler rack that is very interesting.

@@jacksanfelice8840 I spent a LOT of time in the Superstitions between '85 and '87. I was warned by an elderly Native American gentleman to leave the treasure maps and prospecting gear at home. Following his instructions I would set up camp, lay everything out in the tent, leave the screen closed and the flap open, and go take a hike for an hour or two.
Just about every time I got off the "official trails" I felt like I was being watched. On one occasion during my "post-setup hike" a brisk wind came up. When I returned to camp the tent flap was secured. On another occasion a rock came out of nowhere and hit the ground a few yards in front of me. I took that as a warning and turned around. That was the hike that I found boot prints OVER mine starting just out of sight of where I turned around.
On one trip after I was sure that somebody watched me just sit for hours in the middle of nowhere watching the wildlife (It IS there, if you sit still and quiet long enough) and enjoying the peace and solitude, I returned to camp to find a fire ready to light, a small stack of extra dry branches, a gallon jug of water, and some vaguely familiar boot prints. All I can think of was that someone was rewarding appropriate behavior. Quite frankly, I was going through a rough time in my life and just did not want to be around people. I wanted peace, quiet, solitude, and somewhere that I could just sit while I tried to get my mind straight again.
The old gentleman specifically warned me about treasure hunting and prospecting, mentioning that he would hate to see me end up as just another random skull with a bullet hole in it. The explanation is actually quite simple. The white people think that the mountains belong to the white people. The Native Americans consider them sacred, and still believe that the mountains belong to THEM, as they had for many centuries before the white man ever arrived in the area. He also said that showing the respect that another's property deserved would save me a lot of grief.

Lets back up and regroup!! Now use common sense , What prospector will go out and find the mother load and draw you a map to it? IMHO, if the Mother load or lost treasures exist then the maps are a way to keep you looking in the wrong direction;) Rethink the past, what direction did the people come from that had gold on them,, find any ducuments of that time using direction those people left and came back.;) Thos mountains are a decoy like an old hen does when it lays an Egg, it'll go another direction to kackel to throw you off to protect the egg..Too many people looking by those maps to not have found the mother load by now,,..
This was like watching Donald Trump speak.
