- Autumn is a great time to ride your bike, its warm, often dry and not to mention the stunning autumnal scenery! Naturally a ride including some gravel is perfect for this time of year, but what we can't agree on is the bike we should use! Alex and Si right are riding their full gravel bikes, whereas Manon and Ollie are toughing the rough stuff on their road bikes. And Hank, well he's doing Hank things... Seeing how Ollie improved a lot from being dropped to being the dropper, I want to see a video of Ollie (on a TT bike) vs ex-pros (Si, Alex, Connor, and Hank).
Definitely would also like more of the 1 v 3/ 4/ 5/ whatever.
And mixing it up, too. TT v X, Recumbent v X, eBike v X, anything.

Iâve been a GCN fan from the beginning. Wow, the quality of the shots and editing has improved so much over time. In the world of constant content Iâve come to expect and accept mediocrity but this was a really good piece in so many ways. Chapeau!

This was spectacular. Great scenery, a little bit of history, the camaraderie of most of the GCN presenters on display, and an epic fun ride. It's videos like this that make me wish I could just move to Bath and apply to work at GCN.

In Defense of Hank. Those of us who commute up in the frozen North and need studded tires 3 months of the year have learned to run a studded front tire and regular rear tire. Why add the additional resistance to the rear where it isnât as important? If the front washes out you make an impromptu snow angle, if the rear washes out you just look cool and make the highlight real.

I have been a ride leader using a Kona Sutra Touring Bike, which by the way, equipped with René Herse Snoqualmie Pass tires 700C x 44 are excellent for gravel AND road AND super comfortable. Gravel is amazing! I built my gravel bike last month and have put hundreds of miles of gravel and off-road unpaved trails on it. Just yesterday I rode an 82 mile loop through mostly unpaved trails on the bike with a friend, it was a great day!

We did a lot of this route doing the sustrans bath to bournemouth ride in September! The gravel for the white horse hill looked nice!
These group ride videos are always brilliant. It is bang on target for a huge number of us who ride in groups and part of the whole experience of cycling. We love the companionship and experience of riding in a group with everyoneâs different styles and strengths, with the inevitable banter and micro competitions of course!

Alex, thanks for the historical note from the Imber Range Path regarding the village and military training area. I wrote my master's thesis on similar events at an army base in Arkansas in 1939. It was very cool to get a snippet view from WWII England. Great job, all. Keep it up!

One of my favorite things about autumn...the slightly slimy layer of leaves on the forest floor, making those long familiar corners and descents onmy local single-tracks a bit more interesting. Dry crunchy leaves are fun too.
Dressing for fall cycling is a fun challenge as well.
