One thing to note is the custom EQ in the app has now been expanded to 5 slider adjustments instead of just three (bass, mids, treble) that the Partybox 110 had.
And the 110 does have DJ effects on the app, just no buttons on the speaker for those. I had mistakenly stated the 110 didn't have.rhem.

Got my two 320 yesterday, gotta say the lights are prob the best thing and its gonna be interesting to see how well it performs. 120 looks amazing aswell always nice to se first impressions!
Yeah, the 310 was the first of the second gen Partybox speakers and it just used the same lights as the 300, so it will be nice to see an update to the lights. I do have to say that while I like the lights on the 120, the removal of the lights around the tweeters that the 110 does have is downer. I also don't like the tweeters are moved to the top on the 120 and the orange rubber pads the 110 has are now gone from the 120. Not made to be horizontal now. I think this was a bad idea.

Damn, I never wanted a speaker more than this. I’ve owned a ton of jbls portables and this will definitely be my first Partybox.
They did at least keep the 120 MSRP the same as the 110, which is $400. The 320 went up $50 to $600 compared to the 310 for $550 MSRP.
I never buy JBL products at full price I wait sometimes years to purchase their speakers. This will be my first full price purchase. I doubt I would need anything more than this for a long time. I just need them to start selling those batteries so I can keep my modest parties going all day and night long.
I recommend the Partybox 310 is 380 dollars, with better sound and battery life. Don't know how good sound is the Partybox 120. But the Partybox 110 left me desire more, and that's why I bought the 310
@@ruleman1234 I need to have the swappable batteries. I have changed batteries on so many JBL portables by opening them up. I can’t imagine throwing away a 110 or 310 when the battery dies. No way am I chucking that giant 40lb box in 5 years because the battery died. I can’t live life like that. It’s criminally wasteful. I refuse to buy products like that. I also can’t imagine opening up one and replacing the battery, looks super difficult. I’ll pay top dollar for easy battery replacement after dealing with taking apart speakers for somthing as trivial as batteries when before everything had a battery compartment. 100% I’m eyeing that replaceable battery mostly.

I didn't like the light feature on the PB ultimate not being in sync with music, and thought it would be the same for 120 and 320, but gladly they fixed it and it looks sick! can't wait to buy mine in a couple of months.

310 vs 320 is possibly my most awaited Bluetooth Speaker Versus of the Year. PB310 is my favorite party speaker and 320 looks amazing, but if there are no significant performance advantages in sound (i know aesthetically looks much better and swappable battery) but if no reasonable sound improvements i'll hold the upgrade probably until next Black Friday ;D
If the 320 arrives tomorrow and isn't destroyed in transit, I'll try and get the 310 vs 320 video out this weekend.

You could daisy chain them, but I don't believe the second gen speakers will connect wireless with the new 3rd gen speakers.
Idk how that works but the new speakers of the party box lineup can wireless connect to the smaller speakers via aura cast. So maybe

I checked the 120 and it does. I have seen elsewhere that the 320 also has the pole mount hole, but I will confirm tomorrow.

I just got the JBL 100 this week and love it, could you do a sound comparison of the 120 and the 320 outside, when the 320 comes in thanks man, if you have the 100 compare it too, but will be happy either way thanks again,.
I don't have the Partybox 100 on hand.
The 120 is a bit louder and clearer than the 110 at high volume u will notice the 120 is more crispy then the 110 both are good but if u already have a 110 get the 320 or 710

I like the JBL app - it is actually useful. Yes there are better speakers than JBL at a huge price, but who wants them if you have JBL. I'll stick with the brand names.

Plug in the speaker, just like any other Partybox.

Can you add your own sound effects to the box? Or can you just use the sound effect that is available in the app?
I don't believe this is an option. I know some of the LG speakers allow you to create your own, which is pretty cool. I did that with an old LG party speaker like 7 years or so ago. I can't remember the model of it, but it was pretty big.
Could you try 120 putting in a speaker stand?
I may do a video sometime with it on a pole mount.

Hello JBL lovers!
My question is to anyone who knows.
If you have 2 120s or 2 320s, how do the JBL microphones ( or any microphones for that matter) work when you have 2 or more speakers?
For example: if you have 2 speakers, and 2 mics, does the mic play your voice equally through both speakers?
Or if you have 2 speakers, and 2 sets of mics( 4 mics total), will all mics play equally with both speakers?
And then if you have 4 speakers, and 2 sets of mics( 4 total). Will the sound travel equally through all 4 speakers?
Or if you have 4 speakers, and 4 sets of mics, one set in each speaker,will they play in all 4 speakers?
I'm wondering how the oracast feature works with microphones. I do huge karaoke parties and want to have a minimum of six mics so more folks can join in on the singing.

How many watts....if it's same as the others the 100 & 110 @ 160 watts....then there's no need to upgrade.....

It's rated for up to 12 hours, same as the 110. I do wish they would have increased the battery size.
Does it have an eq for karaoke like the echo?
Yes it does have sliders for vocal bass, treble and echo in the app.

So naturally there is more of a focus from people on these than the Ultimate, which came out fall of last year. I'm sure I'll get to some Ultimate videos in due time. Is that acceptable to you, sir? I don't know what "unserious" means regarding a party speaker. Did the 110 look more like the landlord that comes down and says the party is too loud and time for everybody to go home? 😆
@@JaysStraightUpReviews well theres big line between PA speakers and party speakers, those off brand €40 speakers look like party speakers, the partybox 100 and 310 were closer on the line to PA speakers but sound like party speakers
