@@OverlandFlorida I have a pop up northstar 600ss and installed a 270 awning. I did not use brackets, I installed directly on the wall, then used marine caulking to seal the gap, now when it rains water does not go thru the gap
Hey Dude!! I know that you do not have the camper anymore, but I am purchasing a Four Wheel Camper and they only have an awning that I do not like. I want to add 2 ARB Awnings (one on both sides) to my camper. Is there anyway your friend can make 4 of those awning brackets? I will definitely pay top dollar for those; also how long were your self-tapping screws? If you can make this happen, we can arrange all the details!!! Thanks in advance and keep up the great channel; not a boat guy, but you are slow convincing me to get one!!!
Camper looks great. Any chance of recording loading/unloading the camper on/off the truck? That would make some interesting content. Time to get a new intro/outro, bud.
im curious if youve factored in the weight of everything. From what i gather, My friends 60 skamper weighs "975" wet. thats before you add people, gear, food, AC unit, accessories etc. I feel you are going to be over your GVWR by 3-500 pounds atleast
You are right. It is pretty damn heavy. I'm not sure how long I'll actually keep this camper as I don't want the added wear and tear. We will just use it close to home and take it easy for now. Probably no more than 30min from home. I'll most likely sell this and keep the black trailer.
that's a bummer. you've done an excellent job making the camper new again. You could always buy a small utility trailer and fasten the camper down on the trailer. That's what my friend ended up doing as he was weighing in too heavy for his frontier I can understand for local camping, but just be careful driving that loaded. If you're in an accident and insurance or other parties involved find out you were overloaded they can deny your coverage. i think you've done a great job making that camper fresh and modern. maybe you'll flip it and make a nice chunk of $$
Looks really good.
Thanks!
Campers looking nice. I'm working myself up to start the rehab on my vitage popup camper.
Sweet! It has been a fun experience.
Looks good Kevin 👍🏻
Thankyou!
This camper is a prime candidate for a 270* awning.
That would be awesome and I thought about it. But that's a lot of weight on the brackets.

Hey man. Those brackets weren't anything special. We just bent them in a vise so that the bracket formed a U.

I'm working on the intro and outro. I'll make one of those videos.
Did you put air bags or any sort of levelling upgrade on your Tacoma?
Not yet. I'm planning on getting SUMO SPRINGS.
@@OverlandFlorida I put sumo springs on my rig. Made a big difference towing heavy (10k trailer weight).
Hi from FL! Nice looking camper. We're working on a similar setup. Which bedliner product did you use?
Hey! Good luck. I used herculiner from Amazon.
@@OverlandFlorida Thanks! How's it holding up in the FL sun?
I actually sold the camper. But I imagine it's doing pretty good.

where can i get one of these awnings?
Tuff Stuff is the brand
@@OverlandFlorida i can not find them on there site, amazon or eBay.
That's weird. I just looked too. I guess you will have to look at another brand. ARB is quality, but expensive.
Where did you get this awning

Do you buy the awnings off of eBay?

I see you don't have this camper on your new videos what happened why did you take it off your truck?
I sold it. It's now on a tundra in California.
