  • SPACE ODDITY by the late great David Bowie still sounds as fresh today as it did when it was recorded back in 1969. A guaranteed winner with audiences; it's definitely one for inclusion in your repertoire. NOTE: I've de-tuned my guitar for this lesson to Standard D tuning so I can sing the parts for you.

    I love this song, but always have difficulty remembering all the chords heh heh. Got the sheet gonna practice it. Always had trouble playing that Am/G chord because I was trying to play it without muting the A LOL. Also I always thought it was a B7 instead of a D7/F#, so no wonder it never sounded right. I still find that change hard to do though.

    He loved his Barr chords, did Mr Bowie. Think he used them, for every chord, on his records.

    Great interpretation, is it OK to use your Thumb on the 6th string, second Fret for the F# in the D/F# chord, I just find it easier?

      The first chord is an Fmaj7 it just has a bass E as well as the top E. gives it more body. 👍🏻

    • @AdamHT
      @AdamHT Před 2 měsíci +2

      Yes, but I think you are playing it with the second string open, so the C flattened to a B?
