20:53 in PEMDAS, multiplication and division AND addition and subtraction are the same step in the order, it just depends on what's furthest left- you do first. So in purely addition and subtraction equations, solve it as you read it.

20:42 if i remember correctly, you do it in the order its in if the operations are PE(MD)AS or PEMD(AS) so let's say it's only multipy, divide and multiply (i'm using a different example but it's in a similar format to the problem on the screen with add, subtract and add) that you have to do, then you do it straight like that rather than multiplying first then dividing. idk if that made sense but that's how i remember it lol, i agree it can be confusing tho! 🥲
