God I love this song and have for a decade. I think it's my favorite song of all time. I come back to it when I'm out of sync or even when I'm extremely happy. This is my soul song.
the first 13 seconds made me almost cry. the emotions are in every note of Efterklang's song.
this is a surrealist journey that kept my soul entertained and happy for the first time in a long long time, just as it lasted for the length of a song

This is how I interpret this video. This video paints the cycle of life, from childhood to adulthood, and what we must endure along the way. When the figure starts his adventure, the road stretches out, and a doorway is opened up. This part of the video represent the first step we take in our childhood. When we are young, we are giving the privilege to open up any paths we want to take and any doorways we like to explore.

The best is when "he" runs through the woods, before he goes into the tree, you can see shadows in the background. Like something is churning in the horizon - it gives af really cool perspective.
The title originally drew me to this song, but now I can't stop listening to it.

Notice the joy when the trees grow... and notice that they eventually die, as the protagnoist begins to run... notice the confusion stepping though the door. Notice the happiness in the different world, yet the reluctance to stay... he returns to where he started... (from a friend o' mine)
