The 3 series is made in many different countries but not in the US. The Spartanburg plant makes the X3, X5, and X6 vehicles.

I wonder if they use Japanese robots, seems they build most of the car, with a few German hands here and there. Of course, it's German engineering though, even the best Ford engines are made in Germany's Cologne plant.

The highest european salaries are in Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Holland: around 2500, maximum 3000, italy it's one of the worst, around 1500-2000
