Obv in KC and it were raining the Baseball stadium would be covered cuz Football is a sport that can be played in the rain, and don't call off games cuz they might get the sniffles
They never have both sports at the same time either, would be a parking and traffic nightmare. A couple times they did have the Royals play a day game and Chiefs a night game.
6:49 That rendering was the initial plan for the original 1923 Yankee Stadium. The second rendering at 6:52 was an early design for the 2009 Yankee Stadium. Two completely different venues.
I know why the Ballpark in Arlington looked slightly different from the model. When they were doing wind tests on the model, they had a hard time with wind circulation in the ballpark. So when they raised the office building and added the billboards on the office building, the wind was better for the offense.
It would do him a lot of good to not do "live reads" and instead edit together nice, concise takes so it flows much smoother rather than some kid standing in front of the class giving a report.
A couple things about Marlins/loanDepot Park: it opened in 2012, not 2009 (believe that's when they broke ground), although you got it right the second time. Also, the windows do open that much, but unfortunately, they almost never open them, which is a shame because it gives the park a nice breeze and shows a view of the skyline of downtown Miami. Also, the sculpture is not completely gone, just relocated to outside east entrance of the park. Kind of a shame since it was amazing in its tackiness, but at least it's still there to gawk at when you come into the park.
Although Safeco Field/T-Mobile park is still open to the outside when the roof is closed, it isn't a real problem because Seattle is a temperate climate. It doesn't get too hot in the summer, and it doesn't get too cold in the spring/fall.
I wish people who've never traveled could understand that a temperature doesn't mean very much when talking about how it feels. Seattle is cold as ever loving fuck in winter. I understand the temperature says it's above freezing. You absolutely will not agree when you're in it. Meanwhile, I've been in -30 (windchill -60) in North Dakota and it wasn't as cold as 30 degrees in Seattle. It's like difference between 80 degrees in Atlanta and 110 in Las vegas. I promise you'll be hotter in Atlanta. The number on the thermostat means very, very little. Almost nothing at all.
I think the globe life’s camera angle is messed up because of the dumb suites behind home plate. They have to get them in the camera shot to make their money.
Wrong, the best name for the White Sox ballpark in Chicago was the almost original name of the old park, Comiskey Park. Not U.S. Cellular or Guaranteed Fields, it should still be Comiskey Park II or could even be Wbite Sox Park, the real original name of the 1910-90 ballpark.
Wait what? Angel’s Stadium was renovated from Candlestick Park in San Fransico by moving it hundreds of miles south and removing most of the upper deck?!? 🤨 😂🤣😂
Clearly, you have no idea that Stadium Naming Rights are an actual thing, hence the odd stadium names at some of them. It costs Millions of money to buy them, and a huge revenue source for teams. Jist saying not hating. Like your channel.
The Rangers new stadium feels oddly dim on TV. It sort of deadens the atmosphere even if in person it’s fine (which idk since i don’t live in Texas). I wonder why it’s like that?
The Ballpark at Arlington was much better from an architectural point of view. One of the best looking facades in all of baseball. The new one while attempting to look as good, just doesn't
Video was okay. I think you could have put in a little more effort into the research for the things you didn't know the answer to. Like whether or not the Marlins Park windows opened that far or not. Or what year that ballpark opened. How come some of the renderings don't really look the final product? I'm sure there is a reason in an article out there somewhere. Different architect maybe? Why do you think a stadium today wouldn't have a open air roof anymore? It works very well most of the time at SoFi. Minus that CFB game, of course. All with the out of the ordinary rain and whatnot.
Dude. The Jays have had strong popularity when they’re winning. Toronto is the 5th largest market in all of baseball. It’s a shame American media and sponsors won’t support them.

Why bother speaking on the marlins park if you aren’t gonna do a basic google search? And to say the removal of the ugly ass fish sculpture ruins the entire park?! LMAO
At Kaufman I would guess baseball would get preferential treatment with the roof over football. You can play football in the rain. Can’t really play baseball.
Coors field pic is actually another rendering of a different stadium proposal for the Twins back in the late 90s. The first base dugout says Twins.
Also the rendering that is supposedly Target Field shown just prior to the one he identifies as Coors is from well before Target Field was proposed
That's what I thought. They used that model for the Future Twins ballpark in All Star Baseball 2004 and 2005.

Do the best baseball parks that don't exist anymore next.

6:47 The fully-enclosed rendering of Yankee Stadium was for the original Yankee Stadium in the 1920's, not the current one.
Marlins park opened in 2012 not 2009.
Thank you!!! lol was just coming here to comment the same thing.
5:12 That view from Riverfront was great! They should have taken out that chunk of the stadium years earlier!
Then instead of being a carbon copy of Three Rivers it would have been a carbon copy of Shea. Lol

You should see the earlier versions of Tropicana Field
Check out the original concept for Three Rivers in Pittsburgh. The stadium was going to span the Ohio River

The first Twins pic was a proposed stadium in downtown St. Paul too. Missed that.
Could a Reds fan tell me why Great American Park faces Kentucky, instead of downtown Cincy? It's always great seeing the skyline behind CF.
Levi Stadium is actually a really nice place. It's just in a crap location.

Welcome to Pac-Bell Park!!! Home of the San Francisco Athletics!!!
Damn when did they take out the aquariums??? That was so cool
around the same time they took out the home run statue
if the white sox named their stadium Poop in a Bucket Ballpark I wouldn't be surprised
Is it Levi Stadium or Levi’s Stadium? I could have sworn it opened as Levi Stadium.
It's always been Levi's Stadium

Thats because they have an entire country to support them. Still doesn't change the fact that the Jays only average around 65% attendance.
