    Nice one sir.
    Pls can you help me solve these questions;
    1a) Show explicitly one experimental unit you would use in the determination of air quality in a hostel room housing ten occupants.
    (b) If the hostel block had five floors and 200 rooms define two blocking variables you would consider in an air quality assessment.
    (c) What two responses would you measure in question 1b above.
    (2) During assessment of level of active ingredient in ampicillin capsules in a batch imported through a port, both spectrophotometric and titrimetric methods were used:
    i.) Write one experimental objective expressing comparison of treatment effect.
    ii.) Write another objective reflecting the estimation of parameters involved in the delivery of ethical ampicillin capsules.
    b.) What statistical model would you use to test your objective in 2a(i) above.
    3a.) Why is the method and type of statistical analysis of an experimental objective a primary concern in interpretation of experimental results?
    b.) In an experiment to determine the optimum inhibitor concentration for a protective paint formula, suggest an expression relating metal corrosion to, inhibitor concentration, level of metal impurity and type of inhibitor vehicle.
    c.) Define the experimental units you will use to justify your expression in 3b above.
    4a) What is the scope in a project topic of factorial design when three objectives are identified. Each objective has four factors at three levels. Assume that each experimental unit will replicate four times.
    b.) If the cost to perform each observational unit in 4a above is two thousand naira (#2,000), what is the total cost of performing the experimental part of the project.
    c.) In a completely randomized design factorial experiment, each factor has four levels with each level replicate over eight experimental units. If for statistical analysis each experimental unit has four observational units, how many runs in all will there be.
    5a) State two variables you would expect in the determination of pollution in a stream located near a landfill used to dispose municipal waste.
    b.) Write two objectives which can be used to track the effect of run off from an abattoir waste area into a neighbouring stream.
    c.) Define two hypothesis which can be tested by the TV distribution for each objective in question 5b above. Use a one sided 0.025 significant level.
    Please help me solve the above questions ASAP.
    Thank you sir.

    What exactly is use of degree of freedom or meaning of dof and level of significance

    • @bkrai
      @bkrai  Před 5 lety

      Degrees of freedom is number of independent terms in a equation. For example if x + y + z = 10, and if x=1 and y = 5, then z doesn't have freedom to be any number because we must have z=4. So with 3 unknowns x, y, and z the degrees of freedom is only 2 because only two out of x, y & z have freedom to be any value. Third one totally depends on whatever values other two take.

  • @bishnudas3562

    Thanks for the video. Sir, what it the use of FCritical in the last column?

    • @bkrai
      @bkrai  Před 7 lety

      If F-ratio is greater than FCritical for a variable, that variable is considered statistically significant. Otherwise that variable is not statistically significant and doesn't have much impact on the response.
