Happy birthday Westy. What a weird time of year, body sleeping bag and winter suit to shorts and t shirt in a short space of time. Congratulations on the P.B.
I know ! This time last year it was cracking the flags through the end of April into may. It’s been so inconsistent and it’s definitely affected the fishing 🎣
A cracking video and a nice carp. Really felt for your Dad. I remember taking my Dad when he was still with us for a barbel and chub trip o the Thames to mark his retirement. Put him on what we thought was the best swim and then proceeded to wipe the floor with him! Eventually put him I my swim with my gear and all he caught was eels! Mind you he did the same to me with tench and when we switched over I only caught perch and he bagged up again on tench. Memories forever.

It happens often to us ! We rarely both have a good day. The fish seem to home in on one spot or another. He was gutted that day, specimen fishing can be a cruel sport 😂🎣

I've fished the Tara at cudmore, its a tough gig, did 24hrs and got a 10lb mirror. More action on the Milo. Had 20+ carp and loads of barbel during the night. Great vid lads

Very educational video as always! I'm not sure if its just my poor eyesight or my inexperience, but as much as I love to watch and learn so much from your videos, I always find it very difficult following along with you when you’re talking us through tying on a rig or as another example and in the case of this video using bait floss on your hook. Unfortunately, this is the point I normally lose you and can’t seem to (literally) see what you’re doing to follow along.
Any chance you could do some short, but still educational, “easy to see” and follow along videos on the different ways you attach rigs, and some other close-up shots you’ve done in the past involving your line/rigs?

No buddy, I’m a sales manager in the motor industry ! But CZcams is a full time job, I easily spend 36 hours a week on it ! It’s tough to balance both. Will do buddy 💪🏻 good luck at rosemary wood !
looking forward to it, been fishing with a local syndicate in Manchester, but it's been difficult, so hoping to get a bend in the rod. I've worked online for over 6 years in the gardening space now, but hoping to get into the fishing space. I know it's not easy from personal experience, as you will know.
