    Hello beauties, I hope you are all having a wonderful day 😊 Updates about the foundation: It wore beautifully throughout the day. After 4 hours my skin started to get shiny and I had to blot to remove the shine. After that it looked gorgeous until the rest of the day. It didn’t settle into fine lines around my eyes and it didn’t emphasize pores. I am very happy with the performance, and I will be purchasing a full size bottle this fall. Xoxo

    My skin is extremely dry and the Chantecaille blur powder is a godsend. You're right -- everyone's preferences and needs are different. The CDP foundation looks so gorgeous on you. Love the lipstick, too!

    Hello dear Angela. I love love this foundation. I have it in the shade B10. ( I believe I have a total of five Cle de Peau foundations). But this one is by far my preferred one. Have a great day. We are having a long weekend. YAY!! 😍😍

    I love the Cle de Peau foundation, which I find lighter and less scented than the liquid matte foundation. I enjoy mixing the radiant and matte foundations as the weather warms and my skin becomes more oily. I don’t enjoy the matte alone, but thin it with the radiant. The ratio of matte to natural radiant depends on my skin that day and the weather. In cooler weather, when my skin is more combination, I use the radiant natural alone and it’s beautiful. Blotting during the day is just something that I have to do. Although I have and use the Chantecaille perfect blur powder, I much prefer the Sisley powder to set and finish. Cle de Peau has a beautiful loose powder, but I don’t think it’s the best choice in the warmer months unless you have incredibly dry skin, as the powder seems to have some emollient element. In the cooler months, it is magic. I’m avoiding any cream bronzers during the summer, preferring the powder formulas. I’m looking forward to to the new Chanel bronzer being available in the US. Thanks so much for an enjoyable video! The Cle de Peau looks beautiful on you…

    Hi Angela I agree about the Chantecaille blur powder but not because it makes my skin oily I just think it's way overhyped and not that great IMO. Especially for the price tag. I think Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter is so much nicer. Hope all is well with your partner💖

    Hello Angela, honestly I've just purchased the clé de peau radiant foundation ✨️ haven't tried it out yet, but would you say it's ideal for Summer months? Looks amazing on your skin 😍 yes so true I agree the Chantecaille blurring powder didn't do anything for me either unfortunately Angela. I'll definitely try out the new Charlotte Tilbury bronzer now I've seen it on your skin as we have similar skin tone. The new Chanel eyeliner are sold out at moment, at present using blue Jean eyeliner 💙 😍 Another fantastic video Angela, I always look forward to your videos. Hope you have a great day, Take Care. Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo

      Hello Gill :) Thank you so much for watching! As always you are so nice to me and it always makes me smile. This cle de peau foundation is gorgeous. I think that it will look best in the fall, winter and spring. It depends on your skin type. If you have dry skin I think you will like it in the summer too. But if you are normal to oily then it might be too glowy for the summer months. The day when I wore the foundation it looked good all day. It was hot approximately 25°C (77°F) and after the fourth hour I had to blot and after that it looked beautiful all day. xoxo

    Sadly, I have a similar experience with the Chantecaille blurring powder. It looks ok when I first apply it (I don't see much blurring going on....), but after a few hours my skin looks as if I smeared it with oil. It can destroy even my most trusted otherwise long-lasting foundations after a few hours' wear. Funnily enough, I have rather dry skin (ok, combination, it can get oily in some places, but never as oily as with this powder). I keep giving it a chance from time to time, every time in a different combination (different foundation/primer/etc.), but it never works. In a way, I am glad to hear that you have a similar experience, because I started thinking I may be going crazy, since everybody else was raving about it. I do love their foundations, they are probably my holy grails (together with the No 1 by Chanel, lately), but the powder is a no for me. Actually, it's hard for me to find a powder that would work for me, more generally. I have much better experience with cheaper brand powders by Kosas and by Glossier - those trustily do for me what the Chantecaille powder only claims to do (blur, set and yet not look powdery or cakey).

    I’m in my late seventies, have über dry skin, and mild well-controlled rosacea. I take excellent care of my skin and have minimal texture issues on my cheeks and near my eyes. I had worn the radiant fluid foundation in O10 for years and years. Just lately, however, the radiance has become too much and emphasizes the look of the texture on my cheeks and eye area. I switched to the radiant natural in O10 and have not looked back. It’s a phenomenal foundation for creating a smooth, even toned, soft focus glow. The price seems exorbitant, but a bottle lasts me a full year. Because of my rosacea, I only wear physical sunscreen on my face (ISDIN Eryfotona SPF50+) and have not had any problems with pilling etc. BTW, Clé de Peau is on sale a couple times a year here in the US. I always stock up on my CdP products during the sales.

    The Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid foundation looks so beautiful on you, and I think it would be a good purchase for fall, as you said. 😄👍🏻 I haven’t tried Hermes, but I agree with you on the Chantecaille blur powder. It was good, but not great. My holy grail blurring powder is the Makeup Forever UHD pressed powder in the shade Translucent. It’s the best one so far for my oily skin. I hope 🤞🏻 things are well with you, Angela! Take care and have a great week! ❤️❤️❤️💝💝

    Hi! Thank you so much for this comprehensive review!! I got myself a tester of the foundation and somewhat struggle with it. It seems to set into my pores and stick to dry areas of my skin. I have rosacea and can’t exfoliate more than once a week. Have you noticed something similar?

    I need to find a place to get a sample of the radiant matte foundation, it just looks so pretty! That’s so disappointing about the Chantecaille powder, but I appreciate your honest opinion about it.

  • @nicaustin8890
    @nicaustin8890 Před 2 lety

    I also did not like the Chantecaille powder AT ALL and didn’t understand the hype. I want to try the Hermes and the new WA bubble pink, but so far I’m really loving the Givenchy travel size. Will you be reviewing the WA one? Also, a note on foundations, I didn’t love any of the Cle De Peau samples I tried, but I recently purchased the Valmont Teint De Precious. It’s $300+ Canadian with a 3 month shelf life, but it’s really beautiful and completely melds with the skin (CDP still felt like foundation to me). It’s very blurring and I love it. I’d love to know if you’ve tried it!

    I have the Cle De Peau natural and matte foundations. The natural is FAR better. It lasts all day with no problems. The matte one starts to look separated and pixelated after a few hours. The natural is definitely far far better. I have combo skin. I am shade mont Blanc in NARS, and BF10 Cle De peau is a perfect match (despite being listed as a warm shade)

    How do you think this foundation would affect sensitive skin? I know it has fragrance and some other ingredients that are usually on my radar but I’m so tempted to try this 😅 Also, have you tried this concealer? Is it a must along with it?
