I used heatshrink on the pipes where they pass through the tangs. I spent ages bending the big tang around the pipes and bending the smaller bits the other way therefore clamping the pipe. Should have used bigger bits of rubber like you and had an easier time! Looking good, like the colour. Keep it up.
@@DBMiniDIY One question I've resprayed my subframes after sandblasted them. I saw you use hammerite waxoiles underseal. How did that go? Was thinking doing the same
@@michaelcristiano4333 the hammerite gloss finish looks and feels really good, time will tell how strong it will be, for my vw campers restos im going diwn the por15 route as it seems to get the best revuews, albeut it is also the most expensive
@@DBMiniDIY yea, I'm almost at same stage as you just finishing up a few bits on the under side and debating if I should re weld in the captive bolts for the shield or go with some sort of stick on heat shield

Nice timing, will hopefully be carrying this out next week or so👍
Always good straight forward information
Cheers
Looking good. Thanks for the video.
Top job. It’ll be good to have the car on the rolling pallet so you can get the subframes in and built up. Really taking shape. 👍
I built them up way back, which made them heavier to lift on but they are all ready to go
Great work
I'm in the process of a rebuild .
Your quite an inspiration.
Regards cristiano italy
Thankyou and good luck with the rebuild
