    Seeing u were struggling with last degree torque method... I think u can do it easier by tilting the engine 90degree downwards... Then u can push the breaker bar downward making life easier without the engine stand moving around...
    Anyway..thanks for sharing the t5 engine rebuild proccess 👍👍

    I bought one from FCP for my 05’ C55. I inserted the uncut stick all the way down into the sump. Pulled it out and there was definitely oil on the tip. The electronic reader showed 7.9 liters. With .5 to 1 liter in the filter that left me with between 8.4 to 8.9 liters in the engine. With the full-length dipstick fully inserted, I marked it at the top of the dipstick tube. From the mark up to the plastic flange it measured 6.25”. Thus, I cut off 6.25” from the tip. I rounded off the freshly cut end to form a smooth, round tip (no sharp edges). Then inserted it back down the tube. Problem, now the freshly cut dipstick will not go all the way down into the sump like it did with the original plastic tip on the end. It must be getting stuck on something. There’s no way to reinstall that plastic tip of the original dipstick onto the new freshly cut dipstick. This means that this great oil measuring hack Anderzen came up with may not work for everyone. Any ideas to get the newly cut dipstick all the way down to the bottom of the sump?

    Hey bud I'm trying to start my parts pile and I'm wanting to go forged internals in my 99 2.4 glt wagon. What pistons and rods do you recommend and how do I know what pistons my engine needs to run. I'm seriously not trying to spend money on something that won't work. Im struggling finding anyone who can help me build it in Houston Texas. Any recommendations and info is greatly appreciated. Im shooting for a mild 400+ build on it. Not trying to go balls out like you.

    Fantastic job on your motor looking good! Hey, I am an old guy and my wife has a daily driver 1997 Volvo 850 GLT in super condition. We bought it two years ago ( I think we are 2nd owners). It had like 65,000 original miles on it when we bought it. Now has only 87,000 miles and engine runs like new, I have done a lot of general upkeep on it. Any idea where best to list it for sale? I bought it for 3,950.00 in early 2016 asking like $3,450.00 now. My daily driver is a stock 1998 Volvo S 70 T5 (manual 5 speed) with 111,000 original miles on that one. I am keeping that one! : ) Bob

    awesome video bro, where did you get that custom exhaust manifold? been looking around and can't find any.

    • @SimplyVolvo
      @SimplyVolvo  Před 7 lety

      Its an LGSpeed manifold. Check out lgspeed.se or try googling them, their website may have changed.

    • @turbovolvos40
      @turbovolvos40 Před 7 lety

      Alejandro Martinez Autotech Motors USA probably has the exact same one in 321 stainless steel. I ordered it through ATM USA, and had to return it because the turbo I'm running is too large, and the number 5 exhaust runner won't clear the compressor housing. It was made by Sweden Exhaust, who also supplies LG speed with steel manifolds, it has a T3 flange and a 44mm TiAL wastegate flange.

    • @turbovolvos40
      @turbovolvos40 Před 7 lety

      Alejandro Martinez you can search Facebook for Autotech Motors USA, and send Henry a message, he should reply pretty fast, and ask him if he still has the SS manifold, (it's brand new, never used, but if you want a different one I'm sure he can order one from Sweden).

    • @SimplyVolvo
      @SimplyVolvo  Před 5 lety

      I use a hammer and a screw driver to tap the cam gear to rotate it very small increments. Massive springs made it very hard otherwise (i.e using a screw driver wedged between the bolts).
