    Here's a quick video on how to fold t-shirts to make them "look/appear" as if they are folded perfectly while making it easy to see what you have and maximizing space inside the drawer. I've mentioned before in previous videos that I realllllly don't like to fold. However, folding isn't as bad when you use a magic tool to help you get the fold right! In fact, it can actually be fun and the end result is a beautiful drawer of perfectly folded t-shirts.

      You can also use a magazine or catalog and you put the T-shirt face down then put the magazine on top of the neck and fold it around the magazine and the end take the magazine out , will be a perfect shape every time and at the end and will look super as you see at stores without out having to buy more junk products.

      +Kim Doan No, but that's okay since she bought a special piece of plastic junk to help her. After she folds she can do a video of throwing away all her superfluous crap--that would be a real improvement in organizing.

    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included czcams.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

      A telephone on the other hand is actually important. You're not just going to swim to the other side of the ocean to say "Hi" to your cousin and swim back just because you have a mouth, that's too long. Telephones are so much easier for communication. And only if you want, you don't spend $20 dollars on a tool that helps you do an action you can do by yourself.

Now their dressers remain organized because they don't have to search through the entire dresser to fine one shirt. He now folds clothes independently and loves folding clothes, so I have one less family member to fold clothes for!!

    Wow! Your T-Shirt fold reminds me of how my former husband (deceased), father of my kids, and I both learned to fold shirts. We learned when we were shipped off to military school for the last two years of high school. It was the best thing that happened to both of us. We both graduated and he went to college on a a full athletic scholarship and I went on an academic scholarship and after we both graduated from law school. So, all in all, military school was a good decision our parents made for us --lol, we sure didn't choose it. But your fold apparatus provides almost the exact final product that we learned in school. We attempted to teach it to our kids, but we always seemed to be leaving a step or two out and couldn't remember which one. He died not long ago at the very young of 50 (cancer) and my daughter's folded shirts resemble yours, but they don't stand up in the drawer. I'm super excited about purchasing the item you said you've linked to. I've also signed up for more of your videos and may sign up for your organizational course. I am by far the most unorganized person in the world. When I practiced law, I had an incredibly organized legal assistant who prepared all of my trial books and kept my office in tip top shape, I often wish I had someone just like her at home. My home office, closet, bathrooms, family room and command central station are nightmares. I enjoyed your video and loved the nostalgic trip back to the past.

    In general I like the idea, but
    1 - Most dresser drawers are deeper than this, so you waste space if you do not make the T's taller in the drawer.
    2 - When you removed some shirts they were equally distributed, but if you took 4 from the front the others in the back would flop over I'm pretty sure.
    3 - The folding tool really folds in wrinkles.

  • @egucciar
    @egucciar Před 5 lety +3

    I get that some people think this tool is "useless", but I disagree. Of course I started folding clothes like any regular person, with my hands. When trying the horizontal stacking for the first time, I realized this was a much better method than vertical stacking, because I would inevitably try to either A. stuff more clothes than could fit vertically at a time, and B. dismantle a drawer just to find ONE specific item, thereby creating way more laundry tasks to do and clothes to re-fold. An absolute mess.
    Once i started horizontal stacking, i quickly realized the benefit of not having to sift through and mess up drawers every time i was looking for a specific item. So I kept doing it and very quickly run into an issue - same width / same size folds are an absolute requirement for this method to work. I'd end up dismantling drawers and redoing folds over and over again because they wouldn't fit right, and it wasn't working.
    Once i got the tool, each and every headache went away. I didn't need to refold a shirt 5 times because i got it "right" the first time. Once it was placed in the drawer, since it was sized perfectly, adding/removing clothes from the same drawer was a breeze and never undoes the work i did before.
    This method + the tool has put to rest a problem I've suffered from my entire teenage + adult life. I am chronically lazy, disorganized, a mess, etc. I never used clothes i like, I never could find them either. Now it's much different. Now I have a completely organized wardrobe that **stays organized over time**, and doing laundry is actually much easier, straight forward, and less time consuming - not only because the process is faster (tool does one fold + place in drawer nice and neatly), but also because I'm not doing double laundry every time (i.e. folding the clothes from drawers i've dismantled while looking for specific items throughout the week). In the past, I'd just keep my laundry in the basket because it was easier than dealing with drawers and finding items,but the side effect is messy surroundings + wrinkled clothes. Now, clothes go immediately from dryer -> basket -> bed -> folding -> drawers. It's one headache finally off my shoulders, for good.
    So to the people who think this tool is useless, I'm proof you're wrong. It might be useless to you, but to me, its very powerful and a huge time saver.

    Doesn't this leave the shirts quite wrinkled when you go to wear them? I either lay the flat on a big shelf or hang them up. It may take a little more space but at least you're not wearing a wrinkled shirt or spending a ton of time ironing a T-shirt.

    • @ashleycam72
      @ashleycam72 Před 8 lety

      the wrinkles bother me quite a bit as well haha. I think with men's tshirts its better to hang them imo.

    I did this without the tool, and it came out the same. It works with any kind of shirt.

  • @mrs.cowgill-johnadamsmiddl1417

    OMG - I actually bought one of these contraptions and re-folded all my t-shirts. I'm such a geek, but my t-shirt drawer looks amazing. It really is a good system. I wouldn't do the color coordination because the upkeep would be insane. Wait, this is already insane.

      I made one with a pizza box (I got a clean one from the pizza place when we stopped for lunch one day- they gave it to me for free)- it already had the folds you need, so you just cut it to the size you want it to be...you can make kid sized and adult sized ones this way....

    I liked how she stacks her t-shirts but a thing to notice is that when she folds the t-shirt from left to right, it isn't folded perfectly in fact there are all wrinkles and I don't think there is a difference between using hands and that product. It takes about the same time.

    • @Boredchinchilla
      @Boredchinchilla Před 7 lety +4

      If you have a stack of tshirts (like my bf and each wear at least one tshirt a day, and he wears a work shirt over his, so there will be about 25-30 shirts a week) using a tool like that really does make it go faster- I made one real quick using a pizza box (I asked for a clean one when we stopped and got lunch one day)- it already has all the folds, so it just needs to be cut down to the size I like.

    • @imanshuhairi
      @imanshuhairi Před 7 lety +8

      it stays wrinkle free if u fix all the wrinkle after every flip... the girl in the video jus flipped her shirt without fixing all the wrinkles, like, that made me so mad. and then she said ''we got a perfectly folded t shirt'' im like hell naw thats not perfect at all

    Thanks for this! I'm trying out konmari and she encourages you to display your folded clothing the same way. All the konmari folding videos show small people clothing being folded and I was unsure how to fold my oversized items. I found the pliio which is pretty awesome but pricey to have for every piece of clothing. I sure do like to drool over its organizational perfection, though! However, I DO have the flip-flap or whatever it's called that you show in your video and I'm so happy I can continue to use it, but just need to take the one extra folding step. So glad I won't feel the need to purchase another organizatonal tool. Thanks for the tutorial!
