Thank you Courtney for sharing your Mother's legacy and how heartfelt your wonderful act of kindness towards your neighbor was. I'm an extremely sensitive person and yes it brought tears. My Mom is 91 and she's healthy but as we all know no one lives forever . I am thankful to still have her though she lives far away and neither one of us drives but we talk everyday. I don't know that I would have come up with any idea for your challenge items. You did amazing with the hose that is a beautiful tree. My favorite project is the tree from the funnel and pipe cleaners. TYFS❤❤❤

I lost my Mom a few years ago .. So... this RAOK really touched me to the point of losing my breath tears. Christmas has such an empty voided space without her and I feel it all year long. But then was laughing not long after because Courtney is so funny!

I’m so happy that you have such a support system after losing your mom. I lost my mama a little over 3 years ago and this year I lost my little sister to breast cancer in August. I really miss them both. Again, such a blessing that you have this community for support. If you ever need an ear, I’m here❤

Hi Courtney, I can't believe we are at the end of 2023 Mystery Boxes. The Acts Of Kindness part is always my favorite. What a special way to honor your Mom! Even being disabled for the past 23 years I try hard to give back in little ways. God wants our light to shine even through the cracks of our clay pot! And boy do I feel like a very cracked pot LOL! Fun projects, as always. You are such a blessing. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Courtney I loved all the DIY’s you made they were beautiful. But the one thing that touched my heart more than anything was you going to get your neighbor Christmas lights! It made me cried from the beginning till the end.. I’ve always been big on being a Blessing too others all year long. Raised my children too be that way and now my grandchildren... Nothing like making someone smile it brings me so much joy... I’ve always tried to feed the homeless or just anyone in need. When you’ve been raised by someone who was raised in an orphanage and all he wanted to do when he got older was too be a Dad and to always help others.. My sweet Daddy was raised in an orphanage and he had amazing orphanage Mother who taught him the word of God and too always help others. My parents taught my brother and I to always be good to people and help where you can and if you see someone having a bad day. Try and help them turn it around do whatever it takes to put a smile on their face!! I know at Christmas time it’s hard for me because I lost my sweet daddy New Years Day 1991 and that Christmas was a hard one because my Daddy had been sick earlier but it wasn’t life threatening, little did we know he had been having trouble with his heart and he had made a Dr’s appointment but never made it. It was for his heart and we knew nothing... He loved people and I’m that very same way, always give a compliment where you can that’s me.... Hope you and your Family have A Merry Christmas!!!
Come on! I have to go to work and I’m sobbing! Every time you talk about your sweet mom, I cry. My mom is my best friend and she’s been really sick for a few years. This year was the worst by far, and more than once we thought we were going to lose her. Just the thought of not having her here has created so much anxiety and grief for me, but I’m so thankful that I can say she’s doing really well now and she’s getting stronger every day. I will hold you close this holiday season, Courtney.❤

I so loved your tribute to your mom. I lost my mom this year. She loved to sew, craft, garden and making others happy. At her celebration of life we passed out little angel bees to everyone. It was one last gift from my mom to brighten everyones day during a difficult time.
Our moms never really leave, they live on within us and they come to mind anytime we find ourselves doing something they did ❤

Thank you for this!!!! In 2013 I loss my mother to cancer 2 days before Thanksgiving. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she always did it so well. It took me some time to feel the excitement but, I got there. There isn't a day that I wish I could hear her voice 1 more time. Your video of your mom was so inspiring and I love that you have a mom shelve, I have a little tribute to her as well. Merry Christmas and look forward to 2024 mystery box challenge! Courtney my friend you are amazing you truly are. there is so much work behind the scenes of your putting these mystery boxes together and even including your viewers as well you are amazing and even though i didnt know your Mother she would be so very proud of you and what your doing because you are spreading cheer and doing random acts of kindness all year long. You share your ups and downs and even your fails and just listening to you talking to yourself is so what i do when i am crafting and even down to the ouchies too it just brings a smile to my face. My mother died before your mother did in Feb 2019 and then i lost my dad later that same year in Dec 12 days before Christmas. So i know where you are at in your grief for your mother she must have been an amazing lady because she raised one hell of a good creative person i would like to call my friend or fellow craft buddy. Christmas has been hard to do for my favourite time of year lately because every year is a reminder that my parents are no long here, and there was so much still left to say to them and i would like to think a few more hugs for them and from them. As i am sure you do too. Well i am going to put on my happy face now i got that out the way. Seeing that very thoughtful gift has my eyes filling with tears. Thank you Courtney for who you are and please never change your amazing just as you are. you bring light and happiness to my life just as your ideas inspire me and the other crafters on You Tube inspire me not only on a creative level but as a person. I visited my sister’s church over Thanksgiving and they were going to have a store where parents who couldn’t afford Christmas for their kids could come buy brand new presents at pennies on the dollar.Their need was gift cards for teenagers, so I went and got some gifts cards for places teenagers could buy what they wanted/needed and donated them. It always makes you feel better to give than to receive. Thank you to you and your mom for encouraging others.

your RAOK was so sweet, tears. It makes my heart happy to help others, and I got to bless some children with a new coat and new backpack so far this month.
The snowman bucket reminds me of something my mom and I made back in the 90s, which I still have today. We made a scarecrow version of that with the arms going around a round wicker basket from DT. Coming out of the arms is raffia for straw. Great for putting apples in, etc. Then, we made a Santa one for Christmas...and then she made bunny baskets for Easter. She made those for her grandkids when they were little, and now 20 years later, they still use those baskets.

You got all of us crying with your RAK. I opened up my closet to my oldest granddaughters sister. All of the clothes are free to her. I can't wear them so why not give them away. They're all barely used.
I hope all your viewers do RAK in honor of your Mother and You. I try to take food monthly to the food pantry. Also try to compliment someone everyday. You might just make their day.!
@barbaratrapp5773 I also try and compliment random people and I tell people I hope that they have a wonderful day all the time you would be surprised how many get this shocked look on their faces or get temporarily speechless which is kinda sad.
When we go shopping, my husband and I tell each clerk, etc “God Bless You”.
In 2020, so many clerks, etc would say, “Why, what did I do?” To which I replied, “You came in to work to help me.”
We never know when we might turn someone’s bad day into a blessed day.

my mother was raised in an orphanage. she always told the story about receiving a toy from donations at Christmas those Christmas's were her best memories as a child. So I always put a toy in the donations box at the stores. just a memory I have

I might have cut the Santa bottle holder a little shorter, glued the hat to it, maybe stuffed the coat and glued it closed. And Voila! A Santa ornament to hang from the tree! Or maybe make a vignette using a DT frame that looks like a little box and made it into Santa's entryway where he hangs his coat and hat into on pegs next to the door.
