Therapy Dogs Help Elementary Students Learn To Read

Kelly meets assistant school counselor Heather and dog trainer Cheryl, who utilize special therapy dogs at Northfield Elementary in Tennessee to help students overcome their anxieties and learn to read at their own pace. Students Adelyna and Emery share how the dogs have helped them get out of their own heads when reading aloud in class. My Niece has trouble reading, so my mother in law gets her to sit and read to her dog. She has really improved a lot since she started doing that.
