    Currently running 3 x 360mm radiators on my 3090 ftw 3. Epic video! Thanks!

      What kinda thermals @ what mhz and such?
      Im running an EKW active backplate with 2050 core and 10k memory @ 47 degrees full load after like an hour of gaming.
      Running 3x420 dual thick airplex radiators CPU is around 55°c @4.6ghz locked 16 cores 5950x
      The whole water loop sits around 39-40°c

    No need to disconnect the RGB cable. You can change the colour and brightness of the block via Asus Aura or whatever software your Mobo uses. I've got my brightness turned to very dim.

    At bit late to the party, but has the switch to the new GPU changed anything for you coil whine issues?

    Will you eventually go with an active back plate for the FTW card?

    Thanks for the vid! What was your memory junction temperature under load? I have a 3090 FTW3 and am considering putting it under a block, but im debating if an active rear block is necessary or not. Thanks!

      @mhamma6560 Před 2 lety +1

      No, it's not. It's a ~4c mem temp difference, that's it. Just by pulling out the heat from the front side of the card that a full block does, it will lower your rear mem temp because there's less heat in the PCB. Don't waste the $ on it.

      @gio2vanni86 Před 2 lety +1

      This was tested. I have a rear block. Temps without the block was around 77c idle almost hitting 105c under load with a rear block i never pass 70c under heavy loads.

    PCI-E power draw is what kills the global PL potential of this card. My rev 0.1 card had a cap of 78W in PCI-E PL and it is the reason why the card is rarely seen drawing more than 445W. Rev 1.0 cards were a little better as EVGA revised the PCI-E fuse/vrm design and corrected the PCI-E PL to the max standard of 66W (to avoid having potential issues with lower-end mobos). But rev 1.0 cards imposed a max of 150W power draw from each connecter, which again limits the card to around 450W or so, even with the so-called XOC 500W bios.

      The unlocked power really lets the FTW3 pull ahead to its full potential. The 6900XT was fun but I actually use Nvidia Broadcast, G-Sync, and shadowplay to ever really go AMD for a main gaming system.

      @@SuprUsrStan I had a buddy that traded his 6900xt red devil for a 3070 + some cash just to be able to run the nv filters.

    What do you do for a living dude?

  • @coltraindontworryboutit9990

    Absolutely no reason why he needs those radiators. One 480 for both gpu and cpu is even overkill. I know this because I have 2 480s and ended up taking one out with same results.
