I agree and when she stood on the corner thumbing for a ride and cliff finally decided to pick her up. The Neil diamond song playing when backside towards us, gave me chills, realistic essence vibe of a killer it wait. I predict Quentin's got two more movies left
Tbh, the movie for me I couldn't watch at that time because it seemed to me that the plot was just Leo trying to be actor, etc and 40 minutes in it was boring to me. But now I watch it because I really like 60s setting, the ending compensated, but yeah if the movie was around Brad's character with his time being a war hero of Vietnam I guess and add more screen time to him instead of focusing on Margot Robbie it would be a lot better imo.
song fits the scene and the character just right. "give a listen....cuz I was born lonely, down by the riverside, learned to spin fortune wheels and throw dice. i was just 13 when i had to leave home, knew i couldn't stick around, i had to roam. aint good looking, but you know i aint shy, aint afraid to look a girl in the eye. so if u need some loving and you need it right away, take a little time out...and maybe i'll stay" one of the best openings to a song ever
What? Better than "I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want. So tell me what you want, what you really, really want. I wanna heh, I wanna heh, I wanna heh, I wanna heh, I really really really really wanna zigga zig aah"? I think not brother..
Top 5 Brad Pitt characters(no particular order) Cliff/once upon a time in hollywood, lieutenant Aldo/inglorious bastards, Mickey O'Neill/snatch, Tyler Durdin/fight club, Louis/interview with a vampire
Bob Seger’s first #1 with Glen Fry as his back up Singer ! 🎤🎶🎵🎸🥰💃🏻💨🌟. What Legends that not even an actor could possibly replace. Simply timeless music ! 🙇🏻♀️👏🏽🌟😍🇺🇸
It doesn't matter. Attitude is more important that fact. A great a once said "The attitude dictates that you don’t care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean, whatever happens, your toes are still tappin’. Now, when you got that, then you have the attitude.".
I always knew a movie would use Segers song exactly like this coincidently it was around Pulp Fiction release I dreamt this type scene up. Probably influenced me lol its the essence of cruising...this is a such a homage to Michael Parks type character...QT uses our dreams to perfection...take notes
I haD ( COVID thank you fuck you) a local cinema where it was mostly empty during the workdays especially when there were no new projections and I used to go pretty much every time (at least once a week at a time) when they projected the movie. Just for the atmosphere, music and crisp dialogue. I know the movie pretty much inside out and it was my go-to relax place. Great times.
Bob Seger. Michigan's favorite son. Damn good song.
Tarantino is an artist at painting the mood with his soundtracks!!
This film has such a fantastic soundtrack!
Yeah Brads not good looking at all song suites him?
That’s Tarantino for ya!!! 😁😁
I couldn't found one that good of all the tunes

@@AnnaLVajda Picky, picky.
Cliff carried the movie. I think a movie could be built around that character

@@aveteranplayer6403 Totally agree, the Leo character without Cliff was boring
@@aveteranplayer6403 Cliff was referred to as a war hero because he served in world war 2.

I'll watch any movie with a dude who can throw hands with Bruce Lee and walk away on his own two legs.
Brad Pitt and this song playing? YES PLEASE!
One of my favourite songs of all time.

Right on brother.

Top 5 Brad Pitt characters(no particular order) Cliff/once upon a time in hollywood, lieutenant Aldo/inglorious bastards, Mickey O'Neill/snatch, Tyler Durdin/fight club, Louis/interview with a vampire
Stuntmen Mike, Stuntmen Bob but most importantly Stuntmen Cliff
Greatest movie soundtrack 🇺🇸 🖤
I think he uses these driving scenes as almost a dance.

This was never number one lol
Sadly it only reached #17 on the National charts in 1969…Fry was a back up singer and played Acoustics
@@stevec3892 It should have been number one.
This didn’t go to number one lol
1:37. The “your poon tang” ain’t getting me locked up scene
LOL "Poon tang". You don't hear that anymore!
This so sick!! Great work
Now that is a Cadillac, I want one just like it. Sure, I'll need to rent an aircraft hangar to park but it's worth it.
The first hit record Glenn Frey ever sang on, you can hear his voice nice and clear in the chorus. He never forgot that fact.
Great edit! Rock n Roll!!!
"You can have your funky world, see ya around." For Kevin 1968.
For some reason cars are becoming more appealing to me now more than ever. 2023 and life sucks hard.
Thanks 👍👍👍
Great
Thank you!
Cliff Booth...always the coolest guy in the room
There I am. Pulling into high school.

YOU can be anything you want brother. Put some 93 KHJ in your car and you will feel like Cliff! All the best.
Should have used the ‘Live Bullet’ version. Best live album ever made.
I think it was more in line with the year, Live Bullet wasn’t out in the Movie Time period it portrayed
Had the 45 when I was a 9 year old kid ...... wore it out!!!!
Bob Seger Music, Brad Pitt Crusin, soooo nice
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I'm gonna tell my tale! Come on!
This one of my absolute favorite songs.

LINDO FILME
Great Bob Seger tune. Definitely a 60's tune! 1968 right? Actually it was recorded in 1966. Way ahead of it's time....
I wonder how many of these cars were rented from Jay Leno to make the back scenes..
It is Michael Madsen's Cadillac.
Tarantino Rocks! An encyclopedic knowledge of music 🎵🎵🎵🎵

Soundtracks are the best on Tarantino movies - the rest is absolutely overrated. Or the only thing I understand is that he has Foot-fetish! :P
