    HOW TO SMOKE PORK TENDERLOIN
    ______________________________________________________________
    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
    - 2 Pork Tenderloins (not pork loin)
    - 2/3 cup Soy Sauce
    - 1 cup Honey
    - 8-10 Cloves Minced Garlic
    - 2 tsp minced ginger
    - Postal Barbecue "MAD COW" BBQ Rub
    STEP #1
To prepare your pork tenderloin, first remove any unwanted fat and silverskin from the outside of the tenderloin. Next mix together your honey garlic sauce in a cool saucepan (do not heat yet). once mixed together place your pork tenderloins into a ziplock bag followed by half of your honey garlic sauce. Close the bag trying to remove as much air as possible then make sure the tenderloins are fully coated in the bag. Next, place the pork tenderloin in the fridge and let marinate for 2 hours.
    SETP #2
Once your pork tenderloin has marinated, remove them from the bag and place your hooks into the top portion along with your digital thermometer and place it into the pit barrel cooker.. With this cook, we added some apple wood chips and let it cook around 275F.
    STEP #3
After around 20-25 minutes your tenderloins should be around 120F. At this point open the pit barrel cooker and apply your remaining honey garlic sauce and then close the lid and continue cooking until they reach an internal temperature of between 143-145F. (NOTE: when saucing be quick then get the lid back on so that the coals don't get too out of control)
    STEP #4
After about 45 minutes your honey garlic smoked pork tenderloin should be sitting around 143F - double check your temperatures then pull them out of the pit barrel cooker, let them rest a few minutes before slicing them and enjoying your feast!
    That's it..

Hello Sir I love your videos, I’m thinking of investing in a pit barrel, I they have seen 4 options on the regular size. With every option there is more add on things, as a newbie to the pit smoking game what option do you recommend to this newbie smoking dude ? Thanks and keep up the great work, your proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks.👍🐖🐖🐖

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  Před 3 lety

Hey thanks bud 🙏 yeah the options basically add accessories to each package. If it was me getting started with the PBC I’d choose the select because it is everything you NEED but includes the hinged grate and ash pan. The ash pan is a must in my opinion. Then from there you could add on what you need later like the turkey hook. pitbarrelcooker.com/?ref=3hoi3ulnix

One more question sir, I have a nice Jennair outdoor grill that meets all my grilling needs, and after watching your work I’m thinking that for my needs the pit barrel would be the best. I have been playing around with a Brinkmann since last summer, my granddaughter gave to me because she went to school and Texas lol.
