I must say this game is prety fun. The characters design are great, the music is prety good, the spell cards are prety fun. The difficulty prety much skyrockets from stage 4 onwards xD. Like seriously starting from stage 4 the game feels "faster", in the sence that enemies seem to shot faster and bullets also seem to travel faster, and then stage 6 comes up and OMG i can't keep up with this speed. And as far as Matara goes..oh god when i saw her i tought Junko had come back xD. Also her final spellcard is a prety unique concept but that's not all. It seems like depending on which season you pick for your release, Matara's last spellcard changes. Because when i did this, i picked Reimu + Spring and Matara's final spellcard was diferent. I also loved the background changes during the stage 6 boss, prety nice touch.
Indeed, also ZUN did a fantastic job with the extra stage of this game. And man the boss fight is also prety unique because it forces you to play a bullet hell diferently. Also part of me wants to belive that ZUN made Matara look similar to Junko just to piss off some people xD.
I love stage 3's music. I mean, just take a moment to notice how perfectly timed all of it is The music tone changes when Lilly white appears, and when the death fairies after that spawn
You know people complained that this game is too easy? And the music sounds too fan-made? (even I also complained about these) Turns out that the latter is wrong. I will say the music is too unique that we kind of cannot get use to it, I personally think that ZUN loves trumpet in the past games, and then this is piano rampage, just listen to that final boss theme, its amazing. The former though, I won't say its too easy, but imo this is the easiest game in the series now, even TD is harder then this, the difficulty of this game comes from some of the cheap spells, like those in stage 5, they seems very random and you can get some unfair patterns. But that final spell is a pure surprise, I can't believe ZUN have this idea...
I like the concept idea of okina's last spell card, it's new at least for the Touhou series, but it makes me suffer a lot in order to beat it Also this game isn't as hard as Legacy but it's difficulty surprised me a lot
Spring shoots really weak homing bullets and the season release can be full screen, but it doesn't last like the other 3. (overall the worst season to use imo). Winter shoots lasers and has the longest active season release, the lasers are kinda glitched in that gaining them is not supposed to stack lasers but it does so you get more and more damage as you gain lasers. Summer shoots a spread shot that does ok damage, its season release only consumes 1 level but it doesn't stay out long. Autumn gives you two shots on the sides that do ok damage and it's season release moves with you and it makes you faster when you use a release. (imo it's the best one simply because a lot of the bosses non-spells become almost nonexistent if you use it right, but it can be risky. Risk:Reward kind of season)

TheKawusiaa They are both easy but IN is harder than TD imo. I am bad at looking at special patterns so IN takes the cake.
well that true IN is easy and people said TD also easy but I think DDC is easier than TD
