It is protective and also an expression of affection.

As a woman of a certain age, I love this relationship. Whether it works or not, I don’t know. First, he pursued her. That’s important. She has so many young female followers and to know that they are seeing an example of how men SHOULD treat women, gives me hope. We saw the toxic masculinity of Will Smith at the Oscars last year and here we see an example of healthy masculinity. A man not afraid to be a true gentleman, who can take the lead in a gentle loving way. I’m here for it.

Yes, in Taylor’s case it’s especially needed… Have you heard those crazy people screaming while they were walking into the restaurant?
If you are with someone who is confident and calm, it lowers your anxiety as well… And Taylor did struggle with a lot of anxiety in the past…
I think it is refreshing for her …

Women should have never fought for equality, but for being respected as a human.

When you cherish your partner, you’re protective regardless of gender, period. I feel bad for the girl in the tie. She’s missing out.

The sidewalk thing goes back so far that it was actually about protecting the woman from garbage and slop being thrown in the street

Guys are built differently. They are physically stronger no matter how you think about it. So Cynthia, if you ended up in an ally way with a bunch of sketchy people, are you going to be protecting your husband? Probably not. Again with the whole feminism...it's not always black and white. Yes I am all about equal ship but in certain scenarios, the little masculine energy I have as a woman, will not protect me and my husband.

Joe did his best to protect her in the only ways he knew how. So let’s stop bashing him.

Andrea...your single is showing girl. LOL. Yes I agree with her though about the fact that my masculine energy goes up, it has been up for years. I have never felt protected by a man ever in my life, it's kind of sad actually.
