What is your TOP 1 reason to learn C# and .NET development? ⬇
I just feel it's a full-blown Swiss knife in terms of language feature it offers.
As a bootcamp graduate, I found that learning C# provided me with a more robust understanding of coding compared to JavaScript, which is a more abstract language. C# allowed me to delve deeper into the fundamentals of programming, and I believe it has a less saturated job market compared to popular languages like JavaScript and Python
I choose C# and .NET in 2019 and I have no regrets at all. Microsoft keeps improving it day-by-day.
Love it! There is a lot going on, and I can't wait for .NET 8 later this year. 🚀
I started my journey with Dot Net Core 3.1!
Now it's 7.x! I feel like I grew up with Dot Net. ❤️
Also, I do write ExpressJS and serverless (Firebase, Azure Functions) for small projects but I always choose Dot Net for Enterprise Solutions ❤️
That is awesome!
Great video, thanks.
I use a Chromebook computer; I downloaded the .dotnet dsk 7 and 8 so I can learn how to program C#(instruction for the course). But it's not working and I can't even find another easy one to use for my practice.
Could you recommend an IDE that I can use for C# programming?
I am an absolute beginner interested in learning how to code and I currently have zero knowledge on any language.
Greetings
Good to hear you want to learn C#. For Chromebooks, I recommend the following video: czcams.com/video/7glSwZwKmRg/video.html
@@ClaudioBernasconi thanks for your assistance. I truly appreciate.
Greetings
Is this worth learning if I don't have any programming langauge experience. I work mostly with salesforce front end applications. HTML, CSS Java Script etc.
I don't know if you can use C# and .NET for salesforce. However, if you want to learn something that you can use to build modern standalone applications, I highly recommend trying it out to see if you like it. There is no right or wrong technology. It depends on what you want to learn and what solutions you want to implement.
Is it good to invest time to learn C# and .NET development during my bachelors? I am currently in my 2nd year out of 4 and thinking of pursuing it as my career.
It's definitely a platform/language combination that provides many career opportunities. I would suggest trying it to see if you like it. Something that is "hyped" but does feel hard or uncomfortable to you is always worse than going with what suits you best long-term. During your degree, I suggest touching as many different things as possible to get a feel of how they differentiate. It's a bonus if you have 1-2 languages/platforms you already feel comfortable using when entering the job market after your studies.
Great video on C#! Any video on F# at some point?
Great question! I'd love to finally learn F# and also record videos about it. Right now, I'm busy with various projects and haven't had time to dig into F#. I really have it on my wishlist. If you have great resources to share, let me know in Twitter DMs (CZcams will most likely auto-delete comments including links).
I have c# background but no experience in .net. If I expertise in this topic, can I find suitable jobs in the industry? Whats the demand for .net developers?
Software developers jobs are usually subject to regional demand. In some areas .NET developers are high in demand. For example, in Switzerland where I live there are many job openings. In general, learning .NET and C# is definitely a good investement in your software development career. Also, you can transition into othe technologies in the future.
@@ClaudioBernasconiThank you! Have a great day :)
Are C# and .NET recommended for beginner, sir?
Absolutely. C# is on a level that allows you to build applications without worrying too much about lower-level details in the beginning. Also you can build many different types of applications, such as desktop, web, mobile, or console apps. I suggest looking at my C# and .NET Bootcamp on Zerotomastery. Link in the video description.
Can you make video about .NET MAUI ✨
Right now, my focus isn't on MAUI. You can take a look at the videos about MAUI I already have on my channel in this playlist: czcams.com/play/PLwISgxnkpZGJFbI_bL5Z-hgzkCZObiNOe.html

do you have a course on C#
I come from a dark future where Unity has lost its mind.
Jokes aside, do you think it's still worth learning C# even after that Unity mess?
Thanks for your question. I do feel like C# has so many opportunities outside of Unity that it is definitely worth learning. The platform provides yearly updates - alone its performance improvements you get almost for free every year are a massive help in keeping your apps up to date. In the gaming space, you still have Godot and other engines that support C#. And I'm sure more will follow to support it because it is easy to learn, very flexible to use and many developers around the world use it every day.
Checkout Godot. It has first class C# bindings
