Also when making the options you can call them option 1 and option 2 and make multiple costumes and make it so if it detects this costume and its clicked do what you want the option to do, I know it sounds complicated but hope you scratchers can understand :D

How do you make it detect when a different costume is selected
Not gonna lie..finding this channel was worth it.
To change the options just make a new costume for it and drag out the when green flag is preset part and put change to whatever name your first costume was and pull out when I receive what ever name you put it change to the second costume

tip: to make the options glow different colors, make a new costume for the option, choose the color, and fill the button. then swap out the change brightness to a set costume.

you can just make costumes for the other options instead of duplicating the sprites

but another way to manage all the answers to the questions is to make two sprites(or more), each called questions 1 and 2. Then (just an example) when they receive ''the woods'' they will switch their costume to a different question. If you want to make a question hidden(to make the stage have fewer questions) switch the costume to 1 empty costume (for all hidden questions) and over the loop to make the brightness change and broadcast a message, put an if statement saying: "if costume number not = (the empty costume number)". anyways your approach is really good and this is just my opinion.

What if it is like this but it is a interactive story I have many background of story but I do not want to add like 50 buttons because that will make the game lag D:. The buttons were like : Option1, Option2 , and Option 3

Zinnea, There is a glitch on scratch that if you put an if flag clicked then a forever loop under it then a broadcast in it then a when I receive block then a speak block under it will EXPLODE! Go ahead test it out. (But I don't recommend it)
