民國60年 恭祝蔣中正總統八秩晉五華誕 1971, Congratulations on President Chiang Kai-shek's 85th Birthday

民國60年10月31日，總統蔣公八秩晉五華誕，也是中華民國建國60年，全台各處旗海飄揚。成千上萬的祝壽人潮湧向總統府拜壽，有學生、軍人、工人、歸國僑胞以及國際友人。全國各界組成的祝壽代表團，也先後前往總統府祝壽，並呈獻致敬書和建設成果，由總統府秘書長張群代表接受。參謀總長賴名湯上將也率同三軍首長並代表三軍呈獻祝壽電文，以及「推行毋忘在莒運動成果」等作為壽禮，由參軍長高魁元代表接受。總統府一樓階梯佈置壽字花堂，供民眾簽名祝壽。各地也設有壽堂，大家扶老攜幼行三鞠躬禮拜壽。三軍樂儀隊祝壽致敬表演於總統府舉行，接著由數千青年和學生，表演民族舞蹈以及舞龍舞獅。於淡水河兩岸，民眾爭相觀賞國軍戰技表演。陸軍5架輕航空機，首先以人字隊形拖著五彩煙雲低空掠過，揭開表演序幕；高空跳傘更加壯觀；4架空軍直升機在機身上分別貼著「總統萬歲」4個大字，翱翔天空，獲得在場觀眾喝采。30日下午，於台北市中山堂中正廳舉行第9屆金馬獎頒獎典禮（即「60年優良國語影片頒獎典禮」），由教育部文化局長王洪鈞主持，來自海內外的男女影星、導演、電影從業人員齊聚一堂。國軍第7屆新文藝金像獎頒獎大會暨文藝之夜，於三軍軍官俱樂部舉行，由參謀總長賴名湯上將頒發各類金像獎給23位得獎人。參加頒獎大會的有國軍高級將領、文藝、影劇和新聞界人士等4百多人。中華民國各界恭祝總統華誕晚會，於中華體育文化活動中心舉行，這項盛大的祝壽晚會由立法院院長黃國書主持。表演節目有八仙祝壽、群星大合唱、民族舞蹈等。晚間並施放煙火，為祝壽活動掀起最高潮。

Congratulations on President Chiang Kai-shek's 85th Birthday
On October 31, 1971, President Chiang Kai-shek celebrated his 85th birthday, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China. The entire island was adorned with a sea of flags. Thousands of people, including students, soldiers, workers, returning overseas Chinese, and international friends, flocked to the Presidential Office to offer their congratulations. Delegations from various sectors across the nation also visited the Presidential Office to present congratulatory messages and reports on construction achievements, which were received by Secretary-General Chang Chun on behalf of the office. Chief of the General Staff, General Lai Ming-tang, led the three armed forces' commanders in presenting congratulatory telegrams and gifts, including the results of the "Don't Forget Jǔ Movement," accepted by High Command General Kao Kui-yuan. The staircase of the Presidential Office was decorated with flowers forming the character for longevity, allowing the public to sign their names in tribute. Similar tribute halls were set up across the country, where people of all ages performed the traditional three-bow salute.
The military band performed a tribute at the Presidential Office, followed by traditional dances and dragon and lion dances by thousands of youths and students. Along the banks of the Tamsui River, crowds eagerly watched military skill demonstrations. The Army's five light aircraft opened the show in a V-formation, trailing colorful smoke at low altitude, followed by impressive high-altitude parachute jumps. Four Air Force helicopters, each bearing the words "Long Live the President," soared through the sky to the applause of the audience.
On the afternoon of the 30th, the 9th Golden Horse Awards ceremony (also known as the "60th Excellent Mandarin Film Awards Ceremony") was held in the Zhongshan Hall in Taipei, hosted by Wang Hongjun, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Education. Stars, directors, and film professionals from home and abroad gathered for the event. The 7th New Literature and Arts Gold Statue Awards Ceremony and Cultural Night of the National Army were held at the Tri-Services Officers' Club, where Chief of the General Staff General Lai Ming-tang awarded various gold statues to 23 recipients. Over 400 people, including senior military officers, literary and art circles, film and television, and journalists, attended the ceremony.
The Republic of China's National Gala celebrating the President's birthday was held at the Chinese Cultural and Sports Center, hosted by Legislative Yuan President Huang Kuo-shu. Performances included the Eight Immortals offering birthday greetings, a chorus by stars, and traditional dances. Fireworks were set off in the evening, culminating the birthday celebration.

1971년 10월 31일, 장중정 대통령의 85세 생일이 중화민국 건국 60주년과 겹쳐 대만 전역이 깃발로 장식되었습니다. 수천 명의 학생, 군인, 노동자, 귀국 교포 및 국제 친구들이 총통부에 몰려와 축하를 드렸습니다. 전국 각계의 축하 대표단도 차례로 총통부를 방문하여 경의를 표하고 건설 성과를 보고서로 제출했으며, 이는 총통부 비서장 장군이 대표로 받았습니다. 참모총장 라이밍탕 장군도 삼군 수장을 이끌고 삼군을 대표하여 축하 전문과 "불망재거 운동 성과" 등을 생일 선물로 제출했으며, 이는 참군장 가오쿠이위안이 대표로 받았습니다. 총통부 1층 계단은 '수(壽)' 자가 꽃으로 장식되어 있어, 대중이 서명하여 축하할 수 있었습니다. 전국 각지에도 축하 당이 설치되어, 모두가 삼배례를 올리며 축하했습니다.
