Haven’t played FIFA in over a month and it’s been the best decision I’ve made in a while. It always used to put me in such a bad mood for one reason or another. Just been playing Borderlands, MW, and Outer Worlds lately and I’ve been having so much more fun and is much less stressful.

The day some company decides that "hey, let's make a good football-game for online competition" FIFA is in trouble. And don't come with PES, it's not better than FIFA. They are both kind of flawed games, in their own different ways. It has to have a few ingredients to work: 1. it has to rely on "player-cards" and building a team. It doesn't really matter if it's realworld-players or made up players, but it has to have such a progression-system where you can gradually improve your team. 2. It needs consistent, fun gameplay. It doesn't have to be all that realistic, as long as it's basically football. Just look at the success of rocket-league, that's totally un-realistic, but it's fun. Just make a fun 11 vs 11 football-game that is balanced. 3. it has to have a competitive mode, and a "casual" mode. The model for casual mode that was in FIFA a few years ago with divisions with relatively open matchmaking and a set number of points in 10 matches to promote was good for such a mode. Doesn't have to be a carbon-copy, but something like that. 4. It has to have some kind of "reward-system" where you are rewarded for playing the game. That's it. Even if you make it cartoony and with players with made-up names it would crush fifa.
EA has a monopoly and too much money at this point. This is what happens when you let corporations grow this big. The become corrupt, greedy, and think they can do whatever they want.

Fifa spend a full year developing the new Fifa, advertise the new features, spend our money getting us customers excited about the new features and gameplay. Tbh Fifa 20 at launch was great however, patch 1 ruins it all. How many patches does the new game need. How many years does it take EA to give us s working game. It’s November and the game is broken. I’ve been playing EA football since 1993 and I’m a FUT founder. EA can’t be bothered to even change the menu screens. Gold Packs are still 7500. Gameplay awful, scripting still alive, animations broken etc etc As customers we are robbed year in year out. We pay for what they advertise and literally move the goal posts every patch. THIS IS NOT THE GAME YOU ADVERTISED. BAN COIN SELLERS AND ADVERTISING. This is the last Fifa I will buy. EA you couldn’t organise I piss up in s brewery. DISAPPOINTED IS A UNDERSTATEMENT DONT WORRY THOUGH... you still have your Fifa fan boys you tubers opening great packs and starting the game at launch with 3 million Fifa points.

I took a break from playing FIFA this year (after 21 years) because it's just a waste of time playing such a bad game. Hopefully they'll make a playable game soon. You have my full support and I hope more people will do some pressure on EA so we could again enjoy the game we love.
Reading some of the comments baffles me. EA's statement says he repeated violated code of conduct and was warned multiple times. Life time ban from competition is the right move. Toxicity in esports needs to be curbed. He can still make videos and voice his opinions, but he can no longer compete and represent the game, seems fair.

I watched all of this, with an open mind, trying to be totally empathic ( I've raged many times at fifa ). But honestly, and this is just my honest opinion, what you're saying, is coming across quite juvenile. Yes, the game is absolute dogshit. The company behind it all? Even worse. But as an influence on the scene and a representative through events and streaming, you have to be held accountable for your actions. As adults do, in every day life. Did you really think, after multiple warnings regarding your behaviour, and then ( whether it be your actual "physical" property, or not ) tarnishing EA's logo, which was broadcast to alot of people, that you would be able to just carry on, like everything was normal? I agree, that EA is one of the worst companies I have ever known. Their greed knows no bounds. However, there are consequences to actions, and when you're pushing the buttons of a company as big, while representing them, you're going to be punished. And the way you're regarding yourself, almost as hard done by, brings it back to my original point, that this response, and intended further retaliation, all just seems a little juvenile to me. You're passionate about wanting the game to be right, and so is everyone else. But at the end of the day, it's a game. No one forces you to play and you can walk away from EA at any point.

I’ve been playing EA football since 1993 and I’m a FUT founder. EA can’t be bothered to even change the menu screens. Gold Packs are still 7500. Gameplay awful, scripting still alive, animations broken etc etc
As customers we are robbed year in year out. We pay for what they advertise and literally move the goal posts every patch.

I see this as a win. You can make far more by streaming and doing CZcams than you would from the EA tournaments. What’s that? £750 for an 8th place finish? And now you’re getting more exposure and attention, which will attract more viewers. Kurt will not die

I took a break from playing FIFA this year (after 21 years) because it's just a waste of time playing such a bad game. Hopefully they'll make a playable game soon. You have my full support and I hope more people will do some pressure on EA so we could again enjoy the game we love.

Reading some of the comments baffles me. EA's statement says he repeated violated code of conduct and was warned multiple times. Life time ban from competition is the right move. Toxicity in esports needs to be curbed. He can still make videos and voice his opinions, but he can no longer compete and represent the game, seems fair.

I love you for being honest and real Kurt unlike so many other FIFA gamers who fake opinions on the game , you are just passionate (like myself) about FIFA , we're aloud to give our views on the game .
I can understand companies having rules and regulations for everyone to follow but their punishment for your honest critisism, despite sometimes being very abrupt and in some cases 'rude', does not deserve to land you getting banned permanently. EA have refused to change because of people's opinions and the fact that you tried to force yours onto them and their reaction was to ban you, just goes to show what a joke of a company we're all dealing with here. Best of luck elsewhere my guy, you're better off without those pricks bothering you anymore 👌

I watched all of this, with an open mind, trying to be totally empathic ( I've raged many times at fifa ).
But honestly, and this is just my honest opinion, what you're saying, is coming across quite juvenile.
Yes, the game is absolute dogshit. The company behind it all? Even worse.
But as an influence on the scene and a representative through events and streaming, you have to be held accountable for your actions. As adults do, in every day life.
Did you really think, after multiple warnings regarding your behaviour, and then ( whether it be your actual "physical" property, or not ) tarnishing EA's logo, which was broadcast to alot of people, that you would be able to just carry on, like everything was normal?
I agree, that EA is one of the worst companies I have ever known. Their greed knows no bounds. However, there are consequences to actions, and when you're pushing the buttons of a company as big, while representing them, you're going to be punished.
And the way you're regarding yourself, almost as hard done by, brings it back to my original point, that this response, and intended further retaliation, all just seems a little juvenile to me.
You're passionate about wanting the game to be right, and so is everyone else. But at the end of the day, it's a game. No one forces you to play and you can walk away from EA at any point.
