Splendid effort 👏 .. beautiful in every aspect .. excellent dialogues, music, screenplay and screen performances. Very impressive editing that never let it lose it's crispness.
After watching this one .. Mughleazam seems like a circus .. a juggling of masalas and waste of money and time, so much unnecessary emphasis on showing splendour .. weakened every other aspect of storytelling pathetically. I never even get that when story is about Anarkali then why it was named Mughleazam ?
Why there were no good choreographers in pakistani movies...only dance /or choreography i see is never ending hand movements...like some child has choreographed
I think they had but they were not used the way they had to be. Lahore has been the cultural hub for centuries and there have been ustad like kathak mahraj Ghulam Hussain Jee but I think he didn't choreographed. You should see Rani Jee's performance and classical numbers.

You can not compare this mother to mughle e Azam..noor jehan is no match on madhubala..the Venus of Indian movie..everything was 100%..not like this version
Geeta betay ji, no doubt Mughal e Azam is a much bigger spectacle with a more famous cast and all. However, if you watch this carefully it also has its fine points. I personally think that given the limited budget and scope , director Anwar Kamal Pasha has done an exceptional job. Let's be fair and honest in our critical analysis.

This is right that Mughleaazem was a big budget film But Daleep kumar seemed to be down and depressed before Madhu bala Prithwi raj showed exegeration in his character Hiwever Madhu bala was exceptionally fascinating On the other hand Noot jahan was misfit Sudhir and Himalyawala played their roles fantasically geet of oth movies were equally melidious

It is a Pakistani movie, not indian.
Terrible dynasty of sick perverted kings.
That said, as a pure movie production this does not touch either Anarkali from india 5 years earlier. Forget even touching the dust from Mughal-e-Azam.
Mughal e Azam movie must've been the hype in India in its prime because of its set and production but looking at art as just art, irrespective of flashy sets and high production budget, the cast and language didn't suit the historic figures or environment/culture all that well. A Pakistani music video called 'Bas Ishq Muhabbat Apna Pan' has captured the essence of this story way better IMO. As someone from gen z, I get bored out of watching Mughal e Azam as now we have much better sets & tech so it's no longer intriguing but that music video I mentioned is an art piece that resonates like an awe-inspiring and mesmerizingly beautiful tragedy that it was even today.
