He was there with his then girlfriend, and all the guys kept hitting on her right in front of him, Even those that knew they were dating. Song has the distinction of being the last song Tarja performed with Nightwish. It was the show closer at the 2005 Helsinki concert (End of an Era DVD), her last show with the band. You can practically see the emotion on the guys faces there, as they knew , but she didn't.

Tarja did a bulk of the songs that defined Nightwish's career and deserves credit for her work... She records and tours solo now but is nowhere as popular as Nightwish... Her primary reason for being ousted was her unwillingness to accept the financial agreements and she and her husband were making demands that Nightwish's management could not agree to... Ultimately, she began missing shows and rehearsals and Tuomas made the decision to fire Tarja in 2005. Years later, Marco Hietala left Nightwish in 2021 and mended fences w/ Tarja and the 2 recorded and toured together... Marco said that his decision to leave was also based on business and the band's finances behind the scenes. He felt Tarja was unjustly let go. It's always about money, sometimes...

Tarja - as in Ta (rolled r) ya. Lastly, there's a much older song where you can see band members very young when they have just finished their required military service. They have no facial hair and their hair is short.

Even though I am a swede I have to admit that the only country who have even better metal bands than Sweden are Finland. I hate to admit it, but its true.
I am a die hard Floor Jansen fan however I still love all the music from Annette and Tarja and what each of them brought to the table in their time with Nightwish with their own unique sound and abilities. To me none of the three singers are above any of the others, all three were great singers for what they did and do. Some songs though do stand out for me as being more of a favorite version over the others. Take this song for example. I just feel Tarja's version of it, the one in this video, is simply the best version of it. Floor sings it great as well, but I prefer this version. Same with say the song "Amaranth"....Annette's version is just the best version to me. All subjective of course and my personal preferences.
Floor is great, Tarja was great, why ladies not listening also to Anette, the former second Nightwish female singer ? She also made Nightwish great with her vocal contribution.
The studio and MV versions of Tarja era are just so good! their live recording and editing just wasn't that great in that era, like it become later. This is actually almost at the end of Tarja era, from her last album, but yeah, they all still look quite youthful, even though they were already industry veterans by now. Marko already had a 20 year professional career behind him at this point xD
Well, NW has released two new song videos for their upcoming album. Also check out Marko singing "The Islander" as I mentioned. For older Tarja videos, "Over the Hills" (later, Tarja invited Floor at one of their concerts to sing with her) and "Bless the Child" where they were very young. There are many great songs from them - but many never made it to video live or otherwise. I think "Planet Hell" did both with Tarja and with Floor. "Nightquest" never did, but I loved the song and there is a video with the album cover and music. As for Anette, if you haven't seen "Scaretale" - you need to do.
