I think the word portage must translate, "To suffer greatly but tell yourself its fun". That is beautiful country up there around Missinipe and i love canoeing there. Ric is very knowledgeable and helpful to get you on your way. Thanks for sharing! Great video work.
New subscriber. Your video came up in my feed this morning. Paddling around in Ontario, I sometimes forget how beautiful the other provinces are. Very much enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. Cheers, Rob.
Hey I was part of the group in the red canoes. We were leap frogging with you guys the whole trip! My wife and I are re living our trip watching your video. Great job!
And that is why you don't bring glass on a camping trip. Is it really that hard to pour a shot? Thanks for sharing your trip. You showed the young ones.
That was a lake trout, they have a deeply forked tail. Specks have a flat paddle like tail. The two species can breed together and the offspring is called a splake.
Keep being active. It’s just so encouraging… seeing you not being intimidated and just rolling with the punches nature presented you with. Huge desire of mine as I get up there also.

Ok… I have to ask… how old was your crew to tackle those gruelling portages and 14 days in the wild? You guys are crazy cool!!! Good job all of you.
Haha yes we’re are all in the older age bracket, but then experience does help! Thanks for your comments.
