paulino & oscar were like the f___king dynamic duo of that era. what i would like & it would be a dream come true, is that the two of them made a remake of " IDALIA ". That would be awesome as hell !!!. Thank you very much!
they are both great..saw them at the sanger ballroom in sanger, calif. back in the 60's..togeher or by themselves noboby can beat them...hear them now and they are still the best
Ponle Oscar Hernandez. con el five button chromatic. SUPER Duper! Many of accordion players avoid the 5 button chromatic. Mr. Hernandez (also played with Conjunto Bernal) is up there with Narciso Martinez, Steve Jordon, Ruben Vela and less not forget the incredible Tony De La Rosa who sang and played at the same time!

@sqzbxmn18 No, the original version is only with Paulino and his accordion. Oskar Hernandez joined Conjunto Bernal and added his magic touch of the chromatic accordion. anyway both versions are preciosas.
@sqzbxmn18 No, the original version is played by Paulino and El Conjunto Bernal. This version is played mostly by Oskar Hernandez with his italian accordion.
sorry to say paulino is a master but those scales your hearing is oscar hernadez and he played way better than paulino he played better than all the people that tried to fill paulinos shoes when he quit the group oscar was kick ass and didint get the credit he deserved
Yes, Paulino was a master. But he was much more than that. Oscar was an amazing technician on his instrument and it could be argued that he played "way better" than Paulino, like Don Garza says. But what I do know is that Paulino was a pioneer. He created a style of playing that had never, ever, been played before or had ever been heard before. He dreamed it up, like pioneers do. Without Paulino there would be no Oscar or Los Chachos, etc. Stevie Ray Vaughan played "Voodo Chile" amazing, arguably better than Jimi Hendrix, but Jimi was the pioneer of the sound and laid the groundwork for others to build upon. The Hendrix sound came out of Jimi Hendrix's mind. It doesn't matter how many more notes others add to the songs after the fact, or how fast they play those notes. They didn't create the style and didn't pioneer it. I'm sure a lot of people built upon Thomas Edison's original ideas but who do we remember today? This post is many years old so I'm sure you guys have since changed your minds. Lol
Both Oscar H. and Paulino B. are blessed -super talented accordianists. Dos de los mejores de Tejas.
The KING of the accordion 🪗 has left us 🥲

ACCORDING TO JUAN VILLARREAL COMMENTS THE BEST OF THE BEST IS OSCAR HDEZ SO WHAT ELSE YOU WANT? IT WAS TOLD FROM THE GREAT CACHORRO !

I agree. And if what heard was correct, even Paulino himself said Oscar was better. Oscar is and will always be the best, pese a quien le pese.
And neither did Eloy Bernal That Man had a voice since he was a kid
Yes, I know that's Oscar Hernandez. There's a version with Paulino and it's not as hot as this one.
