The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is the time-themed counterpart to Oracle of Seasons ( tasvideos.org/1963M ). In it, the Oracle of Ages, Nayru, is possessed by Veran, Sorceress of Shadows. Link must travel throughout Labrynna's past and present to collect the 8 Essences of Time, power up the Harp of Ages, and defeat Veran.

Watch a resync ( github.com/alyosha-tas/GB-C_r... ) of this run being played back on a real console ( • TAS - Legend of Zelda ... ) (with commentary ( • GBC LoZ Oracle of Ages... )). - Hry
The text overlay moving perfectly in sync with the screen scrolling from 4:06 to 4:17 was a neat touch
Thanks! I’m really proud of it.
He demonstrates his power when he gets bored, and nothing is safe from his lightning wrath, Link the Hero of Seizures.
The way link just walks over holes is hilarious.
Is there a TAS of an Ages & Seasons linked playthrough?
Lol, always good to see out of bounds in games that I thought never had such thing.
the tokay in the minute 30:10 was like "what the f#ck man?"
このペースで行けるの?からの世界崩壊→ラストバトルの流れよw
Amazing
Y'know the premise of this game is a lot darker revisiting it as an adult
Vagrant spelunker proves physics is a sham, rescues pop starlet; film at 11.
Homeless boy with wooden sword smashes mysterious berries on pop starlet's face, shoots her with hook.
Witnesses say he was convinced that she was possessed by a demon witch.
I always thought that this was the better of the two games
Man, same! Glad I wasnt the only one
I like both the same, but Ages got more puzzles than Seasons and is much more difficult.
@@petersilie304 I guess since I played seasons after ages I never noticed that but yeah you're right!
@@SongokuJidai I have played both of the games in the last time. Both of the games are great games an I would love to see the mechanics in other Zelda games, maybe as remake like Links awakening.
But my favourit is OoS, because of the in my opinion coolere (I'm not sure if I write it correct) items like the magnetic glove and jump coat where you can a little bit float.
Maybe I like it more because as a kid I get stuck in OoA. :D
Oracle of Ages actually has a plot. So yeah is better.
...I blinked. What just happened?
Give it time ... a perfect thing look when it was release so predictable
Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about!
I can't find any info on the casually-walk-over-the-void glitch. I suppose it's TAS-only, but how do you perform it?
If you're aligned with the edge between two tiles, you have to alternate pressing Up and Down or Left and Right frame perfectly based on what direction you're moving.
Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess
How did the screen transition work at 17:40 ish? That was confusing as heck
When you push the pot down the hole, the guy down there will start talking. If you leave the room on the same frame text box is about to appear, you'll screen transition to the screen below instead of entering the loading zone. And the room below, in the game's map, just happens to be the old man under that tree.
The same glitch was also down at 1:18:30, but there you are taken to an out of bounds area instead, which is where the magic happens.
While the glitch also works in Oracle of Seasons, there is no useful place to do it at.
At 58:52 something similar happens with the owl I think?
17:43 *Bruh glitch sound effect*
... that walking over pits hack though
Not a hack, just a frame perfect glitch I believe.
everything is not a hack you know
I hope they remaster these games
Which brings me, on that puzzle with the tokay on crescent island, link still has his ring box, in particular the expert's ring. If the tokay who took link's shovel also took his ring box, link would be forced into getting the shovel before he got the sword. Also make it so that the tune of ages doesn't blow the game *this* wide open like it did here.
1t and 20 minutes is good even tho it is a TAS.
i spent like 5 months beating this game XD , i didn`t play every day, and i had to figure out everything my self :O
The colours look a bit washed out
It’s the color palette that you’d see when a GBC game is being played on GBA
The devs were aware of the color alteration of the GBC screen, so in order to balance it out they used especially bright colours in both Oracle games.
The gorons in this game are so *cute*.
Little noses, big happy smiles, and they are so smol, even smoller than Link's sprite. :3
Tree waifu
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞C'mon 'tendo give us those remakes🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Can we safely say Link got Isekaied?
Yes
@@kwaku7226 if I ever going to a let's play for these games I'm so adding Konosuba to each playthrough in the beginning 😆🤣
@@ViperousVT 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ya like jazz?
LADX Romhack
IIRC, Capcom built a new engine but re-used the art style
@@DougSalad Interesting
@@DougSalad probably tbh, LADX had the infamous doghouse glitch caused by entering a door warp from the back, and it also didn't support large scrolling rooms
It's not that this game is bad, just that it's not as well-designed as LA; and it has this weird, cheesy, sometimes childish off-brandness that I see in a lot of lesser sequels to good things.

What's the point by playing the game of Zelda if you ain't going to get anything you just Skip and win that's really corny to be honest
It's not a human playing, it's a tool/computer assisted run that's been programmed by a speed runner...very clever
The goal of a speedrun is to beat it quickly, of course you should skip things if that makes it faster.
In general, if you have already played through the game many many times the "normal" way, the game will get more and more stale as you already know it too well and there are no more challenges to do. Speedrunning gives the game replay value and a new challenge for the player to enjoy. Why hate on it...?
