    Well, you convinced me! I have been thinking about this new version! My daughter will be third grade next year and was thinking about doing the new Fix It Grammar very slowly. I was thinking of stretching it out over either a school year and a half or two school years. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’ll see!

    We have been going back and forth over whether or not to try this and part of the reason we haven't was because we didn't feel like there was an in-between!!
    I'm so excited that this level is offered now. Also, the cards are a big sell for me. My son and I both have ADHD and things that are very visually pleasing help us. It seems silly to some and some people think we are "stingy" for not using something that isn't "attractively packaged" but if it's aesthetically pleasing (bonus if it's colorful) help us to stay on track and excited about working on school. 😂

    Did they update Level 1? I have a 3rd grader ans 5th grader this year. We've done bits of grammar , parts of speech, punctuation,etc throughout the last 2 years. They do well with them but I'd love to have them start with Book 1 so they aren't missing anything.

  • @elizabethroelandts1427

    Thanks for the flip through! Have you done a video on IEW as well? I’d love a similar video on that as well if not!

  • @motherdaughterlostineurope

    Should my daughter (5th grade) use Nose Tree or Town Mouse? She has been using TGTB LA for 2 yrs. and I'm considering this as a supplement, because so many are excited about the curriculum.

    • @PenniesAndSalt
      @PenniesAndSalt  Před rokem

      If she has a pretty solid understanding of grammar and diagramming that TGTB goes over in its upper levels than she would probably be fine to start with Country Mouse. Or, you could have her start with Nose Tree just to be sure and have her do two days worth (doesn’t take long) each day. That way she has a better understanding of how they approach it in Fix-it Grammar.

      6th Grader- Fix-it Grammar, IEW Structure and Style writing program, progeny press reader guides with various assigned chapter books
      4th Grader- (has dyslexia) All About Reading, Language Lessons for a Living Education (grammar parts only), IEW Structure and Style.
      2nd grader- Language Lessons for Today and The Good and the Beautiful
      1st grader- TGTB
      It changes based on each child’s needs. Next year will look a lot different for my 1st and 2nd grader.

    I have never used anything from IEW. So, does this take more than a year to work through? If we do this for 3rd grade what would we use for 4th and 5th since Robin Hood seems to be recommended for 6th-8th.
    Also, if we HAVE NOT done the Nose Tree (level 1) should we do level 1 first?
