Young people prove once again how inexperienced they are. He's out the door at the end of the season. The bets and odds should be whether it's Real or Barca. Barca for the Dutch connection, or Real, because it's Real. Also consider the CB position of each club.
It was clear to anyone with a brain that he meant that change was coming and that any new manager could have differents ideas/directions, and that could be moving on from Virg. He wasn't angling an exit, he was trying to be humble and say he'll take things as they come

Kudos for the interviewer for not insisting in the Klopp subject (except for that great question about his hug, which let's be real, we all have wondered how that felt like 😂)
Virgil: you are such a vital part of the LFC family. It is sad enough having Jurgen depart, so we hope you will stay. Who knows just what the future holds for any of us amigo...what will be, will be-but I believe in even greater things for our magnificent club.
Give him 5 or 6 years contract extension. I absolutely love big VVD . He's the best modern CB , he's strong, fast, can read the game, organised the player around him and can pass the ball from one corner to another with accuracy. Most importantly, he's an amazing captain.

Amazing interview
Virg rejected ALL the other bigger clubs with bigger offer to come to us at a time when we didn't win anything yet. He is a liverpool supporter and we know it. He will retire here. We love you Our Captain, I never felt so excited and nervous for a player when the transfer rumours of him linking to us. I remember the pic of you in the private jet giving cryptic message and finally the delirium when you joined. Watching football since the 80s I never saw a defender playing like you and knew you would bring us to the top and still is. It is written in the stars. And I believe that as long as you are fit and still playing for us, we will continue to win things even without klopp.

Virg is a Liverpool Legend, captain, and he's paid very well. I understand why people might think players would be unwilling to see out this next transition, but realistically, there aren't many other clubs in world football where his situation would improve.
