This happened to me in December , they were in Atlanta I live in Illinois. When I finally seen the vehicle it was filled to the brim with clothes, blanket, shoes etc. you may not believe this but there was a pit Bull living in the vehicle also. It was also a Jeep grand Cherokee

Tony, this happened to me. I had a homeless lady (with good reviews) rent my car for 4 months (45/day). She had nothing but 7-eleven boxes and pizza boxes everywhere. She was a good renter, but she fell on bad times. I know this makes no sense to me and you, but some people look at living in a car versus their current situation as an upgrade. My customer was living out of a hotel and trying to get back on her feet. In your case, $2300 to trash your car is a bargain. I think you made out really well. Also, Gold Cup is coming up and Im heading to Churchill Downs to make some bets.

wouldn't a hotel be cheaper or maybe needed the car for work too. Man your brave to go and find your cars and interact with the customer.
Yes a hotel would probably be cheaper but they would have no transportation no way to move around, so maybe renting a vehicle was better and cheaper than renting a hotel room!
Thanks for sharing Tony. I’m glad there were no damages. Something similar happened to me a few months ago. My truck was out rented for a month. The renter pulled out a gun on the tow truck driver Turo had sent to repo my truck!
It finally got back to me with my tires slashed, all rims cracked (including my spare), bumper and lights damaged, and the entire interior was trash! Took more than one round of detailing to get things right. Turo made me whole though 😅.
I had something similar happen to me. It took 3 days for turo to return my jeep. It wasn’t local but was about 45 minutes away. Turo only will reimburse one day.

I completely understand you tracking down your cars, because I check on my vehicle here and there when it's out but does Turo tell you to do this? Seems like with your putting yourself in danger for something Turo should cover. Specially with you last experience. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks! Yes, we have the option to self recover our vehicle or we can call Turo and they will schedule a tow but sometimes that take times and about time a tow driver is dispatch the guest will leave and be at a different location!
