Delta just told you to ignore their own instructions! "It says UP, you want to ignore that" Lol!

I wish I could figure out how to replace the cartridge in my Delta shower control. The knob has a handle that screws into the side, with a set screw under the handle. I've removed both and for the life of me I can't get the knob off. The knob does NOT have any kind of removable cover on the front, and the knob is larger than the hole in the faceplate, so you can't remove the faceplate, either. I've looked through all 539 variations of shower controls on the Delta website and it's not shown.

You just slid the adapter over the pipe. So what seals the water from sliding under the adapter? You didn’t lubricant the o ring either.

The instruction sheet says, "Lubricate O-rings before assembling to adapter". You didn't do this. Is this optional?

Hi Amanda, Thank you for the question!
We recommend the use of advanced high-performance sealants and adhesives safe for plastics for installation.
DAP 3.0 or Loctite PL Heavy Duty Sealant are two recommended options.
