Great detailing on Yukikaze, the only surviving Kagero class destroyer during the Pacific theatre.
I own Kagero publication's destroyer Kagero, the Polish publication, and plan to build several Kagero class destroyers in this scale, great work.

The Tamiya 1/350 Yukikaze is also a good choice to do too as there is more detail to it than the 1/700 kits.

I was trying to decide between 1/700 and 1/350 scale. You've shown me how to make 1/700 look good. Thank you.
you can make 700 look good, but honestly the scale is always a little iffy for the smaller parts, that or they use photo etch and it just looks 2d. there is nothing wrong with a 700 scale, especial if you are time/budget conscious but in my opinion 350 scale is always better. Really the bigger you go the better but anything over 350 isnt really practical unless you really like a ship. which sucks for me because there is no 350 scale ijn ryujo.

I was wondering, wouldn't it be easier to paint the lines on the linoleum deck by hand with a 10/0 brush rather than to mask them?
Un vrai chef d'œuvre et toujours aussi passionnant à regarder. (ce qui tombe bien car c'est un mon navire de petit tonnage japonais préféré^^
J'aime beaucoup le vieillissement artificiel qui ressuscite bien l'etat de dégradation du navire apres avoir traversé toute la guerre (de pearl harbour à ten-gô en passant par les phillipines et guadalcanal)
Pour l'anecdite c'est sur ce bâtiment que Tchang kai check a fuit à formose en 1949
