I saw "The Quiet Girl" four times at local cinemas after it was released in North America in March of this year. I can't recommend it highly enough. The ending will stay in your mind for months afterwards. A beautiful, timeless film.@@slyyneha9254
Just to confirm that the above comment is correct ^^^ Jack also uses The StoryGraph, where you can give .25 and .75 ratings, and this is the only 5 star one :)
goodreads doesn't allow for .25 ratings so some of those were 4.5 or 4.75 rounded up. my more accurate reviews go on the storygraph where this can be done!
I studied foster in school for my Leaving Cert. It’s such a remarkable commentary on rural Irish life and family. I keep going back to it and it is always 5 stars
Small things like these by keegan is on my tbr, I might add this to the list too 😅 Edit: I read it and I absolutely adored it! It was so charming and sweet. I love Irish literature so I’m probably biased but I would rate it 5 stars too ☺️
We studied this book for our leaving cert (equivalent gcse's) and it made me so mad for some reason. Like nothing happened at alllllll. I'm glad you and other people liked it. It's a shame that it just fell short for me
Down Here in the Warmth by Euel Arden is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. It really drained me emotionally. I had to take a reading break after finishing it.
I've read 43 books this year so far. Finally got my hands on (and finished) The Nature of Nature by Enric Sala. It's the only one to ever receive my 5 stars (even Mary Oliver and Thoreau came up a smidge shorter than 5). It's the single most important book to read today. I might share a soul with Mary Oliver, but Enric Sala translates my heart and mind into words in his work.
I also love reading books and recently I made a short video to share my feelings about the book "The Alchemist" - my favorite book. Everyone, please comment and discuss with me
I was so fascinated by the line in the audio then i realised it is from the "After" series and I was like nooooo.... I think the only good thing about the series is this line
Two books I’ve personally rated 5 stars and I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t read it would be the novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, and the novel The Boy In the Striped Pajamas
Hey! I'm a young writer, and recently a hacker deleted my 73 page book I've worked on for months. I will soon start over again. When it's done, would you please read and review it? Love your content❤
Just finished Bunny by Mona Awad, you said you hope its turned into a movie. What would be your fan casting??? 😊❤ we need some phycology book reviews like the lucifer effect
Highest rated book on my tbr: song of achilles (4.37) Lowest rated: you should have left (by Daniel kehlmann, actually one of my favorite writers) (3.5)
"Thank you for these fantastic book recommendation! I love how diverse the selection is, catering to different interests and genres. The detailed descriptions and personal insights you provided for each book make it easier to decide which one to pick up next.
Ive been so conditioned by this app for sarcasm that actual sincerity was the most surprising turn of events.
😂😂
Especially with the Hardin voice over like… that fact it wasn’t sarcastic is one big missed opportunity 😆
Fr I thought it's gonna be some bs book and was totally expecting a twist. Him being sincere was surprising
Check out newly published romance novel- Village of pain

@@slyyneha9254its very good, a good chunk of it is in irish but it has subtitles. Originally called An Cailin Ciuin
The quiet girl was so good I just wish it didn’t end like that
One of my friends was a background character in the movie!
Sometimes the thinnest books hide the talent people need to recognise ❤
Not music from the After movie😅😂
Hardin Scott's HORRID fucking voice...gah.
Nah I thought the quote wasn’t bad until I realised the franchise it was from, now scroll whenever I hear the sound💀
you’ve literally given 7 books 5 stars this year
Idk, the other 6 books could actually be 4.5 just rounded up to a 5 cause goodreads don't allow half star ratings.

You should watch the quiet girl!! It's a film based off this novella and its up for an Oscar. Truly astounding film
Why are your hands so aesthetically pleasing
Because he's never done a day of hard work in his life lol.
Jk probably manicures and moisturizer. I genuinely thought it was a woman's hand at first.
@@rumo1086jealousy is a disease

Irish people just have such a unique way of perceiving things, it’s like constant obsessive admiration of the world around for fear it may disappear
you were the last person I expected who would use this Hardin Scott audio XD
you should watch the quiet girl, apparently the film based on this book!
I don't know why but the audio you selected is cracking me up. Can we get you reacting to the after series? 🤣 the whole of it!
The book you read that I love is. If life is a bowl of cherries what am I doing in the pits? Best book ever.
Thank you. Due to this video, I blindly went and read this book. Wonderful Story!!
Hearing hardin's voice to a jack Edwards video was something I thought I would never see..

What about the other five books you gave five stars to this year? Goodreads exists
Goodreads doesn't allow fractional values - Check his storygraph instead to find the ones he's rated 4.5/4.75 and rounded up!
So does storygraph which is better (Amazon doesn’t own it) and allows 4.75 and 4.5 star ratings.
one of jacks best recommendations, was great
I think you guys forgot that 5 stars on goodreads doesn't mean 5 stars irl, on storygraph they have 4.75 stars or so
Absolutely brilliant story
Jack, i really need you to recommend me a book or books if possible about flawed characters 😅
Great content
The adaptation is so emotionally compelling, I think you'll enjoy it
i love that book so much
That was quite the pause for dramatic effect.
