- CENTRIFUGED FOOD by SEATTLE FOOD GEEK, an exhibit at the EDIBLE exhibition at SCIENCE GALLERY, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2012
What if we could create new ingredients from familiar foods without changing their chemistry? Culinary centrifugation - the process of centrifuging foods for the purpose of extracting specific components - aims to do just that. Most foods, even those that seem homogeneous to the naked eye, are actually made up of individual components such as fats, liquids and solid matter. These components all have different densities. Therefore, when subjected to high G-forces, they separate into distinct layers. This installation will introduce you to a new world of natural ingredients and allow you to experience the novel technique of culinary centrifugation for yourself. - Věda a technologie

Can i buy like a 200 dollar centrifuge off amazon and put it in my fridge while it spins at 10k rpm to keep the food-temp in a bacteria safe range?
I'm confused what type of centrifuge is required for food-grade products.
your a beautiful human
did you ever get the answer to this question?
No :(
darn ok, thankyou anyway
You can’t really centrifuge and separate cold foods. The food you’re trying to separate has to be warm/hot.
