Afrifa was often in town engaged in one strife or disorder with civilians. He was involved in altercations with prostitutes in hotels and often drunk. It was not his name alone that was before the president for approval or final determination, one Ewe police officer, ... (I want to get my information well) later a former IGP was also involved in a gold smuggling and or something to do with money laundering. This list was on Nkrumah's desk for a final decision.

Personally, I think the question surrounding Lt. Gen Afrifa's arrest and subsequent execution could be properly addressed by Major Kodwo Boakye- Gyan
