Small light tanks are my absolute favorite genre of military vehicle, so I set out to make the tiniest tank that I could in Sprocket's editor. I didn't skimp on the armor though, making it virtually invincible.

Spooks making the Strv 103 into a rat tank is something I only half expected him to do, what I fully expected him to make is a micro-sized HSTV-L

Nosewise = Cursed mix of an S tank and Wiesel. With 10 times the armor than it could even dream off.

Small tips:
If your Downshift/Upshift aren’t set properly you won’t use the full power curve of your engine. Typically you want to have it 100-200 RPM’s short of the safe limit, then adjust your gearing to what you want.
There are specific mantlets that allow horizontal and vertical traverse (but you have to set a motor to utilize the vertical).
You can go without a commander to save yourself the greater penalty of assigning a bunch of crew jobs to one person, or just use two like the Renault FT-17.
If you feel up to doing some modeling there’s a Freeform modeler to allow for shifting nodes, lines, and faces of the tank and turret body. Good luck with that 👍

loved this video, the hilarious combination of a tank that only has one crew member, so it takes forever for that guy to do anything, but also enough armor and angle on that armor that they're essentially invincible and can get those giant reloads done anyways is gold

That first suspension actually cracked me the hell up for some reason. Like breaking with the tank instantly plunges the barrel into the ground to act as a brake

My absolute favourite tank I have made to this day in Sprocket is a shitty 5 ton tankette with a gun that pens 32mm of armor. But at the same time it being such a stupid and impractical tank just gives it so much character, I just love it. (My favourite historical tank is the Italian L3 if anyones wondering)

Attempt 8 Challenge: For high tier support a nations MBT with its respective APC/IFV counterpart (ie Abrams/Bradley, T90/BMP2M, etc.) Challenge is keeping the other player alive and supporting it without stealing kills (breaking barrels, tracking, repairing, etc) it being a random should help make it interesting.
I would really love to see more sprocket content, it always makes me happy seeing my favorite CZcamsrs play such a niche but fun game I love and give it the attention it really does deserve.
BTW Spookston don't stress yourself with your tanks look or having troubles make designs, we've all been there! :>
some tips too:
Sprocket has a feature to help out people that don't know how to properly adjust gear ratios, if you press the button that says G1/N it will auto mantically set them to give you a smooth ride.
it also has mantlets that let you aim side to side, but to do this you need to go into fire power, select the gun, go into mantlet and add traverse power to the azimuth.

I’ve not heard of ATT:T, but it’d be cool if they were sister-games just like Beamng and the auto design game (although Sprocket is a one dev game, godspeed Hamish)
my favorite part of sprocket is creating a normal turret, then put one on the hull so all my tanks are like M3 Lee, also pro tip you don't actually need a radioman, only works in custom scenario
You need a radioman in any scenario if you want to order your AI teammate tanks around.
@@raymartcarreon6069 it only works if you want to send commands, you can still control them without a radioman, and the radioman efficiency doesn't matter so you can make them take up the smallest amount of space

And one more thing @Spookston , you missed the part in the editor that says "Latewar" when you designed the Nosewise, and then you loaded in scenario which is in "Earlywar". These time periods change efficiency of most of the things in the tank (engine - max cylinders, armour - space usage, .... I think you got it).
Btw Dev is currently working on overhaul of the game to make everything into physical model you need to fit into the tank (only the ammo has it now) and not just everything being liquefied number of volume.

thanks for the next sprocket idea, i will make a tank smaller than this, btw if you want your gun to be not like STRV103 on the casemates go to Firepower > Gun Mount > Azimuth and give it some torque, that should make it work. (it will take some space)

id love more of this, an idea you can have for free is you can do your own versions of two tanks you hate to play in warthunder, either improve or more likely make them even worse trying to "recreate" them, and try and fight with each version you made or so.

if you go into settings, there are options to disable the volume limit (allow you to enter battle with an overfilled vehicle). idr what dropdown menu they are under but im pretty sure its on the same page that the settings open to

My favorite sprocket tank will forever be Stinky. The shitbox my friend and i made 2 years ago for the singular purpose of reaching 1,000 kph in the smallest tank possible.
We spent about 2 hours trying to get a Stinky a kill because we didn’t put a gun on it, and ramming kills are really hard to get.
Historically speaking, Nosewise the strong never saw combat, as he was overthrown by Richard the well angled causing the entire project to be scrapped.
