We decided to make our own sled and UTV deck, well Kealey did most of it and did a great job. 10 feet long with telescopic sides. Just have to build the ramps!
I just bought one brand new exactly the same for 2000, the only difference is mine isn't custom to my truck and mine came with clearance lights, loading lights, bed lights, 12 foot telescoping ramp, ski guides, and super clamps. Enjoying the videos! Keep it up Louie!
You should have cut slots in the bottom of the extension tubes, and added some wheels inside them, to make the wheels stay in place cut bolts and weld them in and grind the ends off or since it may be hard to find aluminum bolts, aluminum tube would work as well
Great job, I would have went with a flat bed for the truck, lowering the center of gravity, be careful 1000 lbs up that high might make for an interesting day. Play safe...;-)
Looks good but one question. Are you going to make legs to transfer the weight to the floor of the bed instead of the sides? I am not sure the sides are engineered to carry a lot of weight.
I like the idea of using the unistrut for the hold down. Even when the threads get all rusted up, if you can loosen it up so you can move it even a little, or cut it off, you can replace the hold down bolt. That's an idea I've been looking for. It will go on my trailer before the season starts. I assume the bolt is welded to the unistrut nut?
The deck looks good! But probably could have made the extensions a lil easier to slide in and out...and to ensure it doesn't accidently come out have stoppers. How much did this cost to build?
Really impressive! It's been a couple of years now how has it held up? The commercial sleds I've seen all mount on the floor of the bed. You've got yours mounted right on the sides almost like a Tonto cove on steroids. Have you had any problems? Atvs and Utv's tend to be heaver than Snowmobiles have you ever loaded any thing, but Snowmobiles ?
Looks cool but you're S.O.L on the trails with no dozer to take the sleds off or put them on, not to mention it looks like it takes some time to even load them on there with the dozer.
why do you think it has to sit on the walls of the truck bed.Mine I had made, sat on A frame legs worked great. Then depending on the height of the legs was how high the ramp was.
The sheet metal box is NOT designed to hold that kind of weight. Driving down the road will cause stress on the box. This is a bad idea. Get yourself a trailer before you kill someone.
+PowerModz I'll never understand the mentality of folks that make comments like these to hard working folks that are just living life. great build as usual!
I don't know why you guys put those things up high on top of a jacked up truck. Ever hear of "center of gravity"? I'd much prefer to either trailer or just shove the machines tail first into the box. Up high, means work and in this case $$. I don't like expending either. I suppose it was a fun project, but I think it doesn't do the sport much good if new people thing they need the same, and expend the same cost and effort. Just my 2 cents. :)
why throw salt/stones etc at your sled on an open 2 place? or spend the big $ for a enclosed? nothing wrong or super expensive about that deck. Looks good, but ski comes awful close to poking the window out! lol
Talisman1957 Sled decks are the only way to go. Here in Whistler people from out of town show up with trailers and do nothing but clog up tight parking spots and there are many times when we are unloading up FSR roads where trailers are not practical. 3/4 or 1 ton will easily haul a deck and 2 sleds and loading unloading is ridiculously easy and fast!
Talisman1957 it's the only way to get 2 sleds on one truck without having to drag a trailer around. that means you don't have to find somewhere to keep a trailer when you're not using it. you don't have to drag a trailer around town to and from sledding, or if you don't want to unload. much easier for getting up FSR and looks bad ass as fuck.
Nice to see Keeli's aluminum welding is top notch! Very nice guys!
Great Job - I lived out west for years and Sled Decks were the shit out there. Beats a trailer for a couples sleds any day
Sorry Louis. Meant to give a thumbs up and I flagged you. Outstanding channel and a wealth of learning and knowledge from an awesome person. Rock on!
Keep up the vids!! I got the urge to sled, but no snow! So you guys are the next best thing!

That looks so nice on the back of your truck!
Awesome work Gents, cant wait to see it all finished
Nice to see Keeli in the Vidio
Nice job use some candle wax on the slider portion to lube it and it should be good in cold weather rather than grease or oil collects dust
That is so sick. But I don't have a dozer to lift my toys. Lol

Any chance you could share the plans?
So you have to trailer a backhoe to unload and load those?
Great job, I would have went with a flat bed for the truck, lowering the center of gravity, be careful 1000 lbs up that high might make for an interesting day. Play safe...;-)
Nice job.

god i love your channel

how to load them again when your on the trails tho?
nice job. need. snow now:)
You're gonna have to make some huge ass ramps lol
What kind of ramps did you make? That bed is real high now was just wondering how long the ramps are? Good Fab work!
Ramps are 10 foot curved at the top for UTV loading. Thanks for watching!
Where and how are the 10’ ramps stowed for the take along?
Yes thats next, before the ramps.
Any chance you could share the plans and all material and costs used? Pleeeeeeease
You guys ever heard of superclamps and superglides?
about 1500 in materials
What one is yours and drive more and favorite snowmobile

So all the support is on the bed rails? No supports to the bed?
What did you use to build your ski tiedowns? Almost looks like unistrut on the deck
Looks cool but you're S.O.L on the trails with no dozer to take the sleds off or put them on, not to mention it looks like it takes some time to even load them on there with the dozer.
they made ramps to get up and on
how is it attached to the truck? and the only supports are the bedrails?
are you guys going to be at the show this weekend with your mod revs? im a rev head myself id love to meet you guys and your weapons
Yea, real easy to build.
sweet! :D
how much did that cost you in material to build and how thick was the tubing? 1/4"?
Any chance of you being able to post up you dimensions and materials used? Thanks!!!
Are you going to the toronto snowmobile show!?
How long did it take to build this?
Hey louis I just bought a 1995 polaris xlt sks ppl are trlling me to check crack seal just asking for your opinion ty
Im thinking you need to do more to assure the ski wont go through your rear window!
I agree!
How much did this cost in materials? if you don't mind me asking. thanks
Did you buy that case on corkery road?
Would you make some more for sale? Really interested thanks
why do you think it has to sit on the walls of the truck bed.Mine I had made, sat on A frame legs worked great. Then depending on the height of the legs was how high the ramp was.
mine is on a frame now.
How do you anchor the deck to your bed. mine is done with U bolts and it is very time consuming. I need a different method. Thanks.
What can do you have on your first Ski Doo?
Is 5200 Northern miles too high for a 2007 ski doo renegade? The guy is selling it for 4,900 OBO.
1 question pal. How yehs getting them off? lol
Dude I want to see you get those sleds off the truck
we made ramps:)
How much does each sled weigh?
russ carney around 500 with fuel, the VK540 is 600+ and i have it on there right now - works awesome!
Is the youtube channel your main income? that's a nice garage u built.
He is a firefighter
tips on welding aluminium
How thick is that material?
Comeone guys. If you can’t figure out a way to setup a pair of ramps or back up to a snow bank. Then you shouldn’t be snowmobiling. Lol
What is kealeys channel ?
you grab the skidoo and you pull.
wow, I would rather call ups to ship my sleds somewhere... that is a total pain in the butt!
Could someone please tell me what the name of the black sled is?
Its a 2003 skidoo rev
The sheet metal box is NOT designed to hold that kind of weight. Driving down the road will cause stress on the box. This is a bad idea. Get yourself a trailer before you kill someone.
whats the cost of material?
bout 1200-1500 - but i get a deal on metal so unless you do they aren't cheap. mind you we did over build it.
must be nice to have money.
Must be, let me know if you have some, I could really use it.
+PowerModz I'll never understand the mentality of folks that make comments like these to hard working folks that are just living life. great build as usual!
Make better decisions and you'll have more money...
If Will made better choices than buying a trailer house and getting payday loans for beer he might have something.
lol didnt you know you cant run pro40 shocks on a older rev,,,measure it,,they'll HIT A-ARMS WHEN BOTTOMED,,I KNOW..been there done that
Good to see that the woodprix has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
1st view!
could you put grease nipples in to help slide?
you missed a lot of steps or should I say almost all of the steps? This is obviously not a how to video?
Great design and craftsmanship, albeit on something so utterly useless. lol
