Join us on our joyride to Liloan, Southern Leyte, while passing the breathtaking scenery and passing over risky roads just to be in the perfect spot!
We spend more or less three hours traveling from Palo Leyte to the municipality of Pintuyan while enjoying the breeze of nature. Our first stop was Mount Caningag where we took our lunch and took pictures of their big hand platform where you can overview the 360-degree views of Panaon Island. By the way, before entering the Caningag mountains, you need to stop at Brgy. Buenavista to pay a 10-peso environmental fee and then another 50-peso entrance fee at the Mount Caningag Resort.
Then, after another one-hour journey back to Liloan proper, we tried to book an overnight room at Crescent Beach Resort. Unfortunately, there were no available rooms since most of them were already taken. Nevertheless, we rented an open cottage and used our backup camping tents. The rent for the cottage was 800 pesos, while each tent cost 100 pesos. Luckily, there was no corkage fee for whatever food and beverages we brought.
We also visited the Tagbak Marine Park just 10 to 15 minutes away from Crescent Beach Resort. We enjoyed the platform bridge over the seawater while seeing a lot of marine life below the sea bed. The entrance fee was 20 pesos per head.
