It never stops to amaze me what coils and wheels can do for a car. Maxpeedingrods are hella good for the price specially for a budget build. Great little vid.
I agree. Can’t beat them for the money on a budget build. And I was surprised how much better the car looked after I got this done.
Ya they only cost $230 with the CRXSETH code if only the shipping wasn't $311 to sacramento, I would have gotten some....
Just bougth a completly stock mb6 1997 as my first car. Very clear and well produced video. Love it!
I got mines a few months ago and they work perfectly. Love em ❤️
Wheels makes a big difference on the looks, plus all orig. and OEM parts. 👌🏻👌🏻
Your civic is starting to look hella nice. Body work and paint and she will look sweet.
Nice seeing some love go to the four door. Great video thanks brother
Doing up my sedan tomorrow 🤙🏼 the coilovers just arrived Today! Same coils and color 🙌🏼
I have not been a fan of the 4 door "EG", but I am really coming around with this build. Really like the direction you are going with it!
Thanks! The EG8 was my first car so this is nostalgic in a way.
Every time I watch a Honda video it makes me wonder why anyone would want to own any other car in the world. Beautiful engineering. Simple to work on. Fun to drive. Fuel efficient. Reliable. God I love the Japanese
Those Wheels look great on that car. I love hearing the stories of these cheap daily drivers. I'm also in the middle of building a new daily driver for me although I paid $600 for mine with a blown engine and I'm ordering all OEM new stuff as well as a JDM engine to put in it just to do it right the first time and I'm keeping mine completely phone stock. 99 CRV to owner daily beater project. I'm excited to get this one back on the road
I saw your post on that. Should be a good little project and daily driver for sure.
Looks super clean Seth, good upload.
Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.
Great choice for a budget daily driver. The drop and wheel setup really set the car off! 👍
Thanks!
Oh man you have no idea how much I love this car. To say 15years later I’m still looking for the joy this car bought me at 16. I had an Eg8 sedan white, manual with sunroof. Still looks good to this day 🙌🏻
I've owned 2, both EX's. I've never been a coupe or hatch guy. Its just something about that 4 door look.
The car looks so good !
please make more videos on this masterpiece ✨
Ahhhh!
I have an EG9 and love your content...
I'm hoping 1 day we would have Civic Seth to see continued content on the EGs!
Haha. I am actually civicseth. I should have just stuck with the civicseth name. I’ll still do other Honda content.
That wheel setup tho! 🔥
nice one bro good looking car i missed my EG
I miss my blue Eg6 with the b16 swap wire tucked. Mine was super clean!
Awesome stuff man the civic is looking amazing next you need an exhaust 👌👍🙌
Gotta keep this quiet. Daily driver status.
Very informative content
awesome looking.
Beautiful car. It reminds me of your car my best friend car when we were high school he bought his first car even his still in high school not legal to drive it yet back in Philippines. He still have it today but his building it to jdm theme or people back in philippines know as "catalog" build his concept is SiR 1.
I had a new ‘92 LX manual in Phantom Grey Pearl. Nice to see what it could have looked like.
Nice! I wish this one was in better condition. It’s rough around the edges.
Dope video Seth! Im planning on re lowering my DB7 and was looking into the Maxpeeding Rods but I noticed that the fork sleeve adapters are not notched for the fork pinch bolts and looked like the bolt didn't screw in easily?
That’s true. To avoid bolt thread issues, I would recommend grinding some off the sleeve to allow the bolt to pass easily.
I need to get on the ball with my eg sedan. I haven't touched it since swapping in a jdm gsr engine. This video is motivation i need to get plates for it. I have some hx rims and coilovers waiting to go on.
Get out there and get to work! Haha.
@@crxseth half of me says leave it completely stock for the sleeper look. Then the other says rims and coilovers now.
Make it look good!
@@crxseth ac recharged blowing 43°,coilovers on cause the stock suspension was toasted. Can get a link to the front lip and mud flaps
nice bro!! do those coilovers come preloaded?? ready to install? or do you have to adjust the preload on the spring?
It’s recommended to set the preload.
Nice work! Let me know if u want to get rid of the factory wheel hub caps!
They aren’t in great condition. I repainted them, but they could use a detailed sanding and repaint. I really have no use for them that I know of. I will probably sell them at some point.
I wish I still had my 92 charcoal gray sedan. Miss it.
Time for another.
@@crxseth if only I could find one.
Just got me a pair and was wondering since the rear oem have the nut welded on did you have to buy new ones? If so what size or dimensions would they be?
Yes. Should be a metric 10x1.25 thread pitch.
What ride height did you do front and back ? Im planning to get some for my ej9 but I dont know what height to do to the front and back .
I’m not sure. I just went off eyesight.
Hello Seth, I noticed recently when you upgraded your coilovers to the highest end Maxspeedrods offers. The ones you pulled of in that video were not these ones? May I ask why? Were these not good? Was the ride very harsh or something? Thank you
They send me coilovers to show on my channel so I swapped them. I was satisfied with all of them on my slow daily driver.
Great video! Is that Ryobi impact 1/2 or 3/8 drive?
It’s a 3/8”
How do you find the rotas and were you able to get the weight of the wheels before mounting?
You can buy them on eBay. I’m not sure of the weight. I didn’t weigh them.
Maxpeedingrods should send you there intake manifold for the D series for a review
I’ve thought about that and throwing it on the ‘95 sedan. Maybe open it up a little more.
Looking really good! What tire size are you using on those new rims?
195/50/15
@@crxseth thanks man!
Is there any way that you can explain the whole process?
Clean
Hey man. Can i ask what is themodel of the coilover for 1995 civic I'm planning get to though
The link is in the description.
That’s a cool car for a sec thought it was the eg9 sir but sadly there was drum brakes on the rear prob no bucket seats either clean build still
Yeah, we never got the SiR here. This is just an LX model. Maybe I’ll eventually swap the brakes and engine. This is a budget build, so I’m trying to keep the costs to a minimum.
Did you ever get those MF8 center caps made?
I didn’t. The guy that tried couldn’t get the size right. I haven’t tried anyone else yet.
RLCA bolts didn’t seize in the bushings, is this real life?
One almost did and was stripped out but I didn’t have to cut it!
i have a ed3 on these coilovers, hypergrams and 195 60 15 tires. no polyurethane bushings also. i like the ride, but i dont the amount of bounce you get after i hit a dip even after stiffing them (the coilovers).
They are definitely the softest coilovers I’ve had.
@@crxseth sometimes i thought it was me
What website/link you go to for the wheels
I actually bought these used locally.
Do you know if these wheels would clear wilwood big brake kit?
I do not know. I’m sorry.
@@crxseth ok, thanks anyway
gotta 93 ex getting the trans rebuilt soon don’t know if I want aluminum or matte black rims
I've never been a fan of black wheels.
hey man, how was your experience with these coilovers so far?
This car is now sold but I drove with these coilovers for a year or so. It was a little soft and bouncy but they are cheap coilovers. They will rust quickly unless you spray them down with corrosion inhibitor. Some of them come with leaky seals out of the box.
What’s the name of the best @ 5:35?
can I use those coilovers to raise the car 3in above stock height?
Probably not. Not sure they have that much travel.
I'm so jealous how cheap these civics are in the US while here in England they're like $4000 for a great condition one on low mileage
Same right now in United States, some going 5k +
Sheesh I wish I could get a deal like that
I got lucky. Just have to always be ready to buy.
Civic 👀👌👍
i want that little wing so bad
Hard to find!
Seth would you sell your EG sedan?
Possibly in the future. It's a little rough around the edges.
what the name of sportrim?
These wheels are Rota Circuit 8.
How are those coilovers holding up?
Still driving on them daily. No issues that I’ve noticed thus far.
Looks awesome man. So jealous of you americans and your cheap egs 😭
You wont find one for less than 2500 in australia, still cheap relatively, but gone are the days of picking up a bargain unless you get really lucky
It’s hit or miss here. I got lucky. This one is rough around the edges but was complete and ran.
@@crxseth looks much cleaner than the sedan i got for 2500 😂
Rims Size ???????????? plus tyre size ??????? please
15x6.5” 195/50/15 tires.
Civic.. Model please complet
I have this car but 1994 an white
I have a white 1994, too!
@@crxseth do you have instagram? Any pics lol mine is bone stock and except hps air intake
@@FlyTech541 Yes, I have Instagram under the same screen name.
make sure you pop the lower arm bushing loose then jack up hub till its loaded a lil. tighten LCA bolt back up. tada you wont bind your bushings
Thanks for the advice!
🎬🎞📸📽🎶😍😁👍
Annoying I only just got the notification you posted
You mean you’re not refreshing my channel every hour?
great car. but worst coilovers.. they only send good ones to people with youtube channels.. those coil overs are extremely soft don't waste your money!
Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll do better in the future.

@@MaXpeedingRods i did and several day for get any solution and the solution for change the springs is expensive so i prefer dont waste my money and get a real coilovers brand.
You say budget as if spending like $500 to a G for coils is nothing... you wanna knew what budget really means? Me finding a set of oem struts with h&r sports for a hundred and a set of oem enkei honda wheels for a hundred.... $200 in total to lower my ek with wheels... that's budget!!
These coilovers are $300. I got the wheels for $200. That’s fairly budget cost.
Plz stop buying maxpeeding rods….
I haven’t spent a dollar on them!
