    I got the RFZ 70 and @ 175 lbs it wont break. Literally took it to the top of a mountain. I tried to break it the first couple months I had it on purpose. The rear brake lever has tacos so many times and I just bend it back without any issue.
    Tires and brake shoes is all it needed replaced. I actually love the little guy so much that I stripped it down to the bare frame and painted it with a Japanese quality base coat/clear coat. New rims and plastic. 😊 I thought for sure those 10 inch rims weren't going to hold up but with some HD spokes this thing has surprised the hell out of me.
    I bought mine in Phoenix from a place that has them on a floor. You can check them out before you even purchase. No shipping $. Sick

    It's just cool that you can still get 1 of these and another backup 1 for cheaper than a new name brand bike. Fiancée & I each got a 110 Apollo, and pre-ordered a SYX Roost as backup or for friends to tag along. I think if you're just weekend riding or out screwing around at the campsite, these are great. Not when you start getting into motocross and more serious "long day trip" type stuff, where being broken down far from help can be a concern. (not that "good" bikes don't break down, too, though).

    Overall great bikes for the price. I never had any major issues. Never had shifting issues. I will say the the cheap pieces that are a issue are chains, chain guides, and the small wheels are weak. Get a true big wheel kit 16/19. I did hard trail riding on mine as well and always held up my buddy worked on his xr200 as much as I did the pit bike. All the problems are cheap easy fixes. 125cc engines are under powers but with the 16/19 big wheels and a Daytona 190cc engine with 24hp you can run with just about anything because of the power to weight ratio.

I cant see why Honda is 3x better. Seen rfz ran 90hours and in perfect condition. I think it is lots of quality in 1kilo. PS. I have a Hawk 150 and it’s been tip top other than a stripped handlebar bolt when I received it. Also, I don’t run it hard since I know it’s not meant to be. I use it for trails and scooting through the woods. Some of the trails get some heavy mud so I go around as much as possible. It’s been a great unit so far. I also still run the stock carb and ran the stock chain until it started stretching. For most people, who don’t significantly abuse them, I’ve heard great things. I have an Arctic Cat wheeler that I abuse and it handles it like a champ. Even on that I’ve had to shore up a weld since it started shearing after hitting an unseen stump on the lower chassis. The 150 bike has been great so far with about 50 hours on it.

    I know this video is 2 years old but I actually just bought an Apollo 250 back in April. I had to replace the battery, I had to pull the electric starter compartment apart and there was a bunch of metal shaving in it so I cleaned it out and realigned the gears. Now about 30 hours of riding my carb float got stuck. Tried to pull it apart and reassemble it. It just leaks gas, so I ordered a new carb that comes tomorrow. I also put a hole in my tank where the bolt weld for the plastic was and also had to use jb weld. I prob would never buy one again. But as I don’t have 7k for a name brand bike I feel like I got my moneys worth. I don’t know how I feel about the decision yet. I guess we’ll see if the new carb works and how the rest of the bike holds up for now

NOW if you dont know anything bout bikes or looking at someones used dirtbike you might spend 3000$ on a lemon without knowing. Its a double edged sword. I recommend these only to someone as a first beginner bike to learn to ride and do maintenance on. There great if you plan on riding in the grass or on the road. But any sort of serious abuse and youll be breaking shit left right n center. Formulate your own opinion from that

      @BushkillRider Před 3 lety +3

      The Apollo bikes are fun if you maintain them and have a few parts on standby. Parts are cheap and usually fairly interchangeable between Apollo and even some other "pit bike" brands, so just have the essentials. A backpack is pretty easy to ride with, then you can bring beverages and snacks too with your tools and some parts. Just bring the stuff that you couldn't ride back without - plug, chain/chain tool (to make a chain fit any bike), throttle cable, a little bit of fuel line, levers, heck even throw a 12 or 10" spare tire on the backpack, better riding home funny than pushing it. I like a handful of the most common bolts, too plus tape, bear spray etc haha.
