i think the mask could be a reference to kodama which are like these small ghosts in japanese folklore that hang around in trees and they have a similar face pattern

I remember that back when I was extremely stupid I claimed his mask looked more like Thomas the Tank Engine's face than a Shy Guy's mask, but now remembering that age makes me cringe a lot.
Either way I still like both characters but I don't think they're similar.

Yeah it's weird, it's like everyone can see ghost types but only when they want them too I guess, cos they can go invisible and the silph scope was invented to allow ppl to see ghosts

@@The31st I bet you didn’t know that why I drew Allister in my videos the way I did was because I was b00b feeding him. You probably also didn’t know that a female shadow nymph’s b00b milk is actually not produced from nutrients from the blood, but instead the flavor compounds from food. I guess you know why shadow nymphs love sweets, assuming you are talking about the adult females of the species and/or the children in their care. Allister’s probably not gonna go through puberty anytime soon because nymphs don’t automatically mature like humans do, so it’s actually the job of a father nymph to get this to happen to the nymph children. After puberty, Allister is likely to be about as tall as a human adult, and that mark on his forehead would disappear. Not to mention that when male nymphs go through puberty, the big lashes that allow them to fly as children will fall off and they will simply grow back but this time, Allister’s getting his distinctive adult nymph lashes and they will be way too small to enable adult Allister to fly
