We Can't Believe THIS Is Spain! | Secret Lakes in the Desert | Van Life Europe

Hey everybody! Welcome back to our channel. After a longggg drive through Portugal, we finally reached our first couple of stops in the middle of Spain.
We were so shocked to discover the most amazing lakes in the desert town of Carenas - which can be found just off the beaten track between Madrid and Zaragoza. We had the beautiful lake all to ourselves, got the paddleboard out and couldn't stop looking at the scenes around us!
When people think of Spain, you'd normally think of Ibiza, Mallorca or beaches on the south coast. We're so glad we decided to explore the desert lands and stumble upon amazing hidden gems like this!

Hey Hazel, yeah for sure - if you googlemaps Mirador Carenas, it should show you the same spot. It’s a big park up on the side of the cliff beside the lake 😊
