Hi! Why is the sand wet on the half of the beach at 4:30 . Then the same beach is double in width at minute 7:24

@@szabolaszlo6594 The beaches have different widths, depending on the region & how it formed there - it's an 8 km long strech, after all.
The front sunbed rows have the sand wet at 4:30 bc the tide sweeps in more, towards the evening. 🤷♀️ That is not "half the beach" wet - it's just a narrower strip of beach in that spot. 🙂

This is the new Mamaia, called Mamaia Nord, the hotels are built recently, you should see old Mamaia as well.Also the Black Sea ,you can love it or hate it, I personally find it to be more "alive" and turbulent with waves and seaweed better than a giant warm pool.But maybe I am biased :p

September is off season but better to be there since it is not packed with people.The sea is colder in September though. It is much cheaper as well. Soon it goes pretty empty since schools started already.
You are close to the end of Mamaia...it used to be called Mamaia village before it got full of new hotels and villas. You should visit the Casino area in Constanta...the old city of Tomis. Enjoy your day tomorrow!!

Looks better than in Russia and honestly this is the pride of the Black Sea now. Odessa is just bad nowadays. There is also interesting development in Sochi, but I do like more the Romanian organisation and its beaches. The people look way more Western. Really a chilling country! I heard there are also good beaches in Bulgaria as well, but Mamaia is something special. Like an Eastern Ibiza...

Would totally agree with about Russian seaside. And Odessa disappointed a bit as well, what you personally found bad in Odessa?
Been in Mamaia many times since 2016, prices are getting to expensive, € 80,00 for a standard hotel is way overprized. And still full of construction sites. Food is not great (never was) except when you are in a resort (not my thing). Was in Odessa last summer (been there since 2002) Arcadia, Langeron nothing changes but it was very quiet in July, not the same atmosphere as it used to be. Thinking of going to the Baltic this year, Latvia, Lithuania.
What does it have to do with Russia? Its Romania and Romania has nothing to do with Russia

it's off season now , in august is everything full there ... June ,July and August are the months recommended to spend holiday in Mamaia (Romania)

You weren't lucky with water temperature. Usually it goes up to 27 degrees Celsius. And immediately after Mamaia, which, translated means... Granny, there is Năvodari with camping zones, very cheap, where you can park your car your car or van inside or put a tent. All amenities at disposal, including restaurants inside. Congrats for the video. Really nice! I absolutely miss the seaside and looking forward for the next season to sign in again :))

That is Mamaia Nord part of Navodari city. Basically in the region where constructions are built irationally and without anybody verifying the actual construction. There was a fire a few years ago an the fire dept truck could not get to the building on fire. Sorry, but Mamaia is Mamaia from Sumeland to Hotel Parc. This is just some clubs and bars...
Just left the city one month ago...😎

Well you have been to the North part of Mamaia, the newly developed area. The area wherethe night clubs are used to be on the outscirts of Mamaia just a 5 - 6 years ago ... Def not the center .. the enter is in the Mamaia Casino area
That is not a packed beach. You should see Eforie Nord, 15 miles south. But that one to has a really big sandy beach and it costs maybe 40% less than Mamaia if not less. A beer on the beach is approximately 1 USD and you can have lunch with about 5-6 USD. În full season, accommodation is between 40 and 100 dollars a day, depending on the comfort you seek. After Eforie many other resorts towards South for another approx. 30 miles more.

Guys, the Black Sea was indeed after a big storm offcoast, so Im not so sure uve been so lucky seeing it "black" indeed after a storm. Its murkyer than Ive seen it before, especially in Mamaia, but also you are in the new Mamaia, way north, so not in the historical part of the resort, meaning the part of Queen Maria of Romania(grand-daughter of Q.Victoria-BritishEmpire- and of Czar Alex.II-RussianEmpire)... But later, it seemed you visited that central/historical part for the nightlife(its not so easy since the resort is a continuous 8-10 km long one ;) :P :D

Hi. I`am romanian and I know the area. Curious, what did you thought about the prices in Mamaia overall? How did the price/quality for the services, food, hotels compare to, lets say, Cyprus? Next time you get the chance you should go to Vama Veche. It`s a small village that was really hip and now is packet with people ready to party. The services are not the best in the area but the atmosphere is the best for party and fun.
Price was more expensive for Romania. They are hard to compare but the restaurant quality was good and it was very clean!

I've experienced 3 meter waves in Mamaia and other parts of the Romanian seashore, while still standing up - or at least fighting to stand up :)

:) I feel bad for you. We were there July and the water was 30 degrees Celsius it was unbelievable....also Monday to Thursday its not as packed as the weekend we stayed 8 days it was great.
It was only a couple of weeks ago and it was boiling!
In all fairness, Mamaia was more popular under communism because the vast majority of the population was not allowed to vacation abroad - so everyone was stuck with Romania's beach resorts, mountain resorts, or visiting their family in the countryside for vacation. Now they have so many choices, even Bulgaria and Greece are so close If you look for some Mamaia pictures from the 1970s or 1980s (search "Mamaia epoca de aur", or the so called Golden Era as it was unironically called by the Communist authorities), it will put the concept of "crowded" in perspective.

I live next to where you guys stayed. It's a very silent area in cold season and very bussy during summer.
It should have been an exclusivist area of the Black Sea but apparently we are not very good at keeping a good standard of our beaches :(

I'm visiting a Romanian freind next moth but he's says he hates the beaches. But I've heard their some nice ones? I'm confused
He hates the busyness of the place, probably. 🙂 Cause it can get pretty packed & hectic. Or perhaps he's just a mountain-side person 🤷♀️ (as opposed to the seaside) - but try to ask him to take you to *Vadu* at least. 🤔
It's a pretty secluded & wild part of the coast, where there's literally nothing organized. You have to go there equipped for camping & with water provisions. 😋 But it's beautiful! (look up photos "Vadu Romania")
