    Thank you everyone for your patience as I learn this software. I apologize for the wrong view when I was giving pointers on posture for standing meditation (1:40 - 4:05). This was supposed to be a full screen webcam view. I promise next video won't have this mistake 🙏.

    Thanks for the great video 👍🏽
    I've always wondered; what's the significance/reason why certain hands are placed on the dan Tien, or why a certain number/direction of circular movements to the region are prescribed based on gender?
    I'm primarily a Okinawan karate practitioner, so please excuse my ignorance.

      Thank you 🙏❤️ For the hand placement, usually women would place our right hands directly on dantian and men would place their left hands. Left side is Yin and right side is Yang. So women being yin would put the yang side on the dantian and the opposite for men.

    Sifu Shirley, is the exact number of repetitions important? I find it the more repetitions of a certain form I make I feel better.

    • @AipingTaiChi
      @AipingTaiChi  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I don't think it's important when you're practicing on your own. I often break apart the routines in my own practice and sometimes practice fewer times for a quickie stretch break or sometimes do a lot of reps, to go really deeply into the movements. I think an important part of Qigong is to give your body exactly what it needs in that moment ❤️
